Christmas isn't just for humans. At London Zoo, the animals are given presents to enjoy Christmas.
On Christmas morning, six-month- old Sumatran(苏门答腊) tigers Achilles and Karis woke up in front of a pile of presents.
It was nothing inside the presents, but the animals often preferred wrapping(包装) paper and boxes to presents inside, no matter how expensive the gift was in it. These presents were hung on a Christmas tree in their homes.
The Manager of London Zoo Mark Habben said, “We create a festive atmosphere in the zoo, and like to find interesting ways for the animals to join in the festivities. We’ve come up with many activities to get them to use their natural skills, like searching for food or finding out their meals with their noses. Our small tigers love searching for their presents under the tree ---- just like kids all over the country on Christmas Day.”

Protect the Earth
As we can see, there are many serious problems on damaging the environment in our society. First, people often cut down trees for development and kill many animals to get their meat and fur. Second, much rubbish is thrown away and this leads to a waste of resources. Third, our environment is being polluted because of the waste air and water produced by factories and cars.
We should realize the problem and take actions to solve it. For example, our government can protect the
animals by planting more trees. As for us, we can save water or electricity and recycle rubbish in our life.
In addition. we students should educate more people to be aware of the importance of protecting the Earth and taking care of the animals.
