Unit 5 Living in harmony
【教学目标】
Language objectives:
To help the students acquire some new words and expressions to help the students get a general idea of the text
Skill objectives:
To improve the students’ reading skills and speaking ability through tasks
Emotional objectives:
To arouse the students’ awareness of environmental protection.
【教学重难点】
（1）通过阅读抓住故事中人物言行的特点，剖析人物的性格特点；抓住故事的情节线索，深入了解文章的主题，即，人的贪婪和不负责的行为最终会导致自我毁灭。毕竟，生态环境与人类生存息息相关。
（2）学习与本单元主题相关的词汇，在文本中利用素材，用适当的动词进行直接引语和间接引语的转换，表示不同的意义和语气。
（3）学会如何通过时间、地点、人物和情节进行故事的描述，尤其是通过人物的外貌、言行、性格等等去刻画人物的性格特点。
（4）针对相关环境的话题，指导学生如何写建议信。
