Fund raising
Fundraising or fund raising is the process of requesting and gathering voluntary contributions as money or other resources from individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, or governmental agencies.
Traditionally, fundraising consisted mostly of asking for donations on the street or at people's doors, and this is experiencing very strong growth in the form of face-to-face fundraising, but new forms of fundraising such as online fundraising have emerged in recent years.
A fundraiser is an event or campaign whose primary purpose is to raise money for a cause, charity or non-profit organization. Fundraisers often benefit charitable, non-profit, religious, or non-governmental organizations, though there are also fundraisers that benefit for-profit companies and individuals.
First charity fair to be held in Shenzhen

BEIJING, May 7(Xinhua) -- A charity-themed expo is scheduled to run from July 12to 14in the south China metropolis of Shenzhen, Shenzhen Mayor Xu Qin announced at a press conference on Monday.
Titled "Development, Integration and Transparency," the fair aims to showcase the fruits of development of public good and philanthropy in China, as well as demonstrate China's resolution to boost transparency in its charity sector, which took a hit as scandals unfolded last year that brought the sector's credibility into question.
More than 400 public charity organizations, enterprises, institutions and provinces will send delegations to join the event, according to Xu.
The first charity fair will create a new exchange mode for public welfare resources, making it a national, comprehensive exchange platform for people from the charity sector, said Xu.
Striving to build itself into a "city of volunteers," Shenzhen currently has 350,000 registered volunteers and more than 4,000 social organizations.

I think it’s very important for a student to take part in public service activities, which can improve your sociability and accomplishment. The orphans are so poor that they need our love and care. We can do our best for them, which could be the savior. They just need a little help. I think we should help them, as a student and also a human.
On that day, our class will set a collection box. All of you can raise money and put in it.
For sure, we will distribute certificate for everyone who would like to help the orphans. How much you can devote is not important, and how much you care about the orphans is really important. We can do our part for them.
I hope everyone can take part in this activity. Please receive our honest thank.

Different people around us will offer to help others in different ways. The activity "Fund-raising Day for Orphans" is on the way, which appeals to our kindness.
Our purpose is to supply essentials as many as possible to the orphans. We students just want to help others with our own hands in our power. Love is the most precious thing we contribute to them.
It is both goods and money that we are going to donate. So there will be two parts in the activity. One is called "Old things with brand new dreams", we'll gather old but still useful things from every class and transport them to the orphanage soon. This part will start from Monday to Thursday. And on Friday afternoon from 1to 3p.m, is charity bazaar time! To make it in order, each little shop are supposed to have one teacher and foods are not allowed to sale.
