Step 1:从语篇入手,理解大意,着眼时态和语态。
本文讲述的是过去发生的事,整体时态为一般过去时。所以第七句中, 应该用from then on,意为“从那时起”。[名师点津]
注意:这是2019年全国卷短文改错的一个命题亮点,巧妙地将时态的考查与固定搭配中副词的考查有机融合在一起。所以不能太绝对地说2019年全国卷Ⅰ没有考查时态考点。
Step 2:从句子入手,逐句分析,推敲语法。
注意几乎每年都考查的动词、名词、形容词、冠词和介词类错误,同时注意其他语法类错误。第一句中,become interested in变得对……感兴趣,故interesting→interested。
第二句中,先行词one afternoon在定语从句中作时间状语,所以关系词使用when,故where→when。
第三句中,名词football为可数名词,其前需要有限定词。此处是泛指“一个足球”,且football以辅音音素开头,应在其前加不定冠词a。第四句中, 此处表示“用力把足球踢回操场”,应用hard(adv.用力地)。hardly意为“几乎不”,故hardly→hard。
第五句中,to one's surprise使某人惊讶的是……,为固定搭配,故surprising→surprise。
第六句中,player(运动员)为可数名词,根据all(所有的)可知player用复数形式,故player→players。第六句中,分析句子结构可知,cheered是谓语动词,say前没有并列连词and等,所以say只能用非谓语动词形式;主语与say之间是主谓关系,故say→saying。
第七句中,“踢足球”的英语表达为play football,中间不能加冠词或者代词,故将my删除。Step 3:从行文逻辑入手,兼顾上下,审查连代。
通过前两步仍有一处错误没能找出,这时要重读短文,从上下文逻辑关系进行排查,甚至放眼全篇去思考。
