山姆痴迷于海底旅行。因此几年前，他用退休金在海边租了一套住房。他每年
都去那里观赏纯净海水深处的生动的世界。
Sam is crazy about travel at the bottom of the sea. Therefore,
several years ago he rented an accommodation with his pension
near the shore. He paid annual visits there to enjoy the vivid
world in the depths of the pure sea water.
不久前的一天，山姆带着水下望远镜和手电筒，潜到位于陡峭的暗礁和一个海
草保护区之间的一块分界线区域。突然，一条长着锋利牙齿，可怕的南极鲨鱼

The other day, with his underwater telescope and flashlight, Mark dived
to a boundary area, which is located between steep reefs and an area of
seaweed conservation. Suddenly, an awesome Antarctic shark with
sharp teeth turned up opposite him. Sam was nearly scared to death.
但他很快意识到他并不是这条鲨鱼的攻击目标。当山姆仔细查看它的身体时，

However, he was soon aware that he was not the attack target of the
shark. When Sam took a closer look at its body, he found that there was a
neat wound in the gray shark’s lip which was probably left by other sea
animals like seals, and it was even washed upside down by the tides
every now and then.

To Sam’s confusion, the shark tried to jog him with its big body
continually as if to urge him to help it to treat its wound. Realizing this,
Sam abandoned fleeing away, and with its teamwork, Sam used a net to
drag the shark to the shallow water. Without any pausing, Sam had an
operation on it and helped it out, and settled it in a narrow area by the seaside
in the end.
每当山姆给这条鲨鱼带来美味的食物，它就会高兴地叫唤，还吮吸他的手。附近的目击者都觉得，他们的奇闻反映出人与动物关系中令人惊讶的一个方面。
Every time Sam brought it tasty food, the shark would yell aloud and suck his hands happily. Soon after that, all the witnesses nearby thought that their anecdote reflected a surprising dimension of the relationship between humans and animals.

The other day, with his underwater telescope and flashlight, Mark dived
to a boundary area, which is located between steep reefs and an area of
seaweed conservation. Suddenly, an awesome Antarctic shark with
sharp teeth turned up opposite him. Sam was nearly scared to death.
但他很快意识到他并不是这条鲨鱼的攻击目标。当山姆仔细查看它的身体时，

However, he was soon aware that he was not the attack target of the
shark. When Sam took a closer look at its body, he found that there was a
neat wound in the gray shark’s lip which was probably left by other sea
animals like seals, and it was even washed upside down by the tides
every now and then.

To Sam’s confusion, the shark tried to jog him with its big body
continually as if to urge him to help it to treat its wound. Realizing this,
Sam abandoned fleeing away, and with its teamwork, Sam used a net to
drag the shark to the shallow water. Without any pausing, Sam had an
operation on it and helped it out, and settled it in a narrow area by the seaside
in the end.
每当山姆给这条鲨鱼带来美味的食物，它就会高兴地叫唤，还吮吸他的手。附近的目击者都觉得，他们的奇闻反映出人与动物关系中令人惊讶的一个方面。
Every time Sam brought it tasty food, the shark would yell aloud and suck his hands happily. Soon after that, all the witnesses nearby thought that their anecdote reflected a surprising dimension of the relationship between humans and animals.
