A Forgetful Day
Our school had a soccer competition last term. My best friend Li Lei was in the team. I was going to cheer him up. Because I woke up late, the competition started when I left home. I thought it’s better late than never. So I was still making my way to school. Unluckily, when I got to the bus stop, I realized that my bag was still at home! While I was running back home, I saw an old woman by the side of the road and she was lost.
I asked her where she was going, she said she would visit her son in the city and couldn’t find the way. Finally I gave her the directions and took her there. When I got back to the school, the competition had ended. I missed the great soccer competition and I wasn’t there to cheer him up.
