Step 1. Warm-up
1. Let’s sing
教师播放歌曲At the zoo,学生听音歌唱,活跃课堂气氛。
T: Before we start our new lesson, let’s sing together.
设计意图:通过歌曲,活跃课堂气氛,并复习本单元重点词汇,感受英文的韵律。
2. Look and say
教师请四名学生到讲台前,每人发给一张动物卡片,然后让学生用句型Look at the … It has a + adj. + n. 进行描述。
T: Now I will ask four students to come to the front of the classroom. I will give each of you one animal card. Then you should describe it with It has a + adj. + n.
设计意图:小组内轮流通过图片说出句子,不仅复习了本单元所学重点知识,还锻炼了学生的口语表达能力。
Step 2. Presentation
1. Look and find the common letters
教师出示单词big,six,pig,milk,请学生找出每组单词中相同的字母。
T: Now let’s look at the words. What do they have in common? Please find it.
设计意图:通过看单词找相同字母,引入本课时的语音话题。
2. Look, read and learn
T: Next let’s learn these four words which includes the letters “i”.
出示单词big,six,pig,milk及意思或图片,教师带读,学生跟读,感知单词发音。
T: Now let’s learn some new words.
设计意图:利用图文相结合的方式,讲授本课重点单词,激活学生的知识储备。
3. Listen, read and find
T: Now let’s listen and find the similarities in the words.
教师出示单词big,six,pig,milk,并播放Listen, repeat and chant的音频,学生跟读。然后请学生试着说出这几个词中的发音规律。
字母i在单词中发 /i/ 的音。
设计意图:通过听音,找单词的相同点,总结字母i在单词中的发音规律,便于学生牢记。
4. Language point
教师呈现字母i的发音规则,学生总结学习发音。
设计意图:教师通过发音规律的总结,帮助学生归纳学习。
5. Listen, repeat and chant
再次播放Listen, repeat and chant的音频,让学生听音跟读。
T: Now you’ve got to Listen, repeat and chant. Pay much attention to the pronunciation.
设计意图:通过听音跟读,进一步巩固字母i在单词中的发音,并活跃课堂气氛。
6. Read and listen
教师播放Read and listen的音频,让学生听音跟读。
T: Now you’ve got to listen and read. Pay much attention to the pronunciation.
设计意图:引导学生通过看、听、说等途径来巩固字母i在单词中的发音。
Step 3. Practice
1. Look, listen and write
教师请学生看课本第26页Listen and write,先读一读。然后教师规范书写这四个单词,学生跟着在书上规范书写。之后播放 Listen and write 的动画或录音,让学生注意观察。
T: Well done! Now turn to page 26. You read them first, then listen and write.
设计意图:帮助学生强化良好的英语书写习惯。
2. Play a game
教师呈现字母 i发音练习。
T: Now let’s play a game and practice the pronunciation of “i”.
设计意图:通过小猴摘桃子小游戏的形式,练习元音字母 i 的发音。
3. Read and match
教师播放课本P29 Start to read的录音请学生完成连线任务。
T: Well done! Now please turn to page 29. Listen to it first, then match.
设计意图:通过将句子和对应的图片连线,进一步巩固本单元的重点词汇和句型。
4. Choose, say and guess
教师播放Choose, say and guess的动画,让学生熟悉活动规则。接着,将全班分成六个小组。接着出示描述动物特征的句子,每一组负责“说”的同学选一个句子,然后大声读出句子,小组其他成员猜出动物名称。最后,猜对且用时最少的小组获胜。
T: Now let’s watch the video first. Then I will divide you into six groups. Each group chooses one student to choose one sentence and other student guess the animal’s name.
设计意图:通过我说你猜的活动,可以锻炼学生的口语表达能力。引导学生学会倾听,听取更多的有效信息。
