能够运用句型“When is...?”“It’s on...”询问节日的日期并作出回答。
三、教学准备
1.教师准备本课时的音频、视频、单词图片、单词卡片和教学课件。
2.教师准备好Mr Jones和Zhang Peng的头饰,学生准备好单词卡片。
教学过程
Step 1:Review&Lead in(复习&导入)
教师给学生一张表格,让学生根据实际填写每个月的活动或节日,然后俩人一组进行问答。

复习单词与核心句型,初步感知核心句型,为接下来学习对话做铺垫。
Step 2:Presentation&Practice(新课呈现&当堂操练)
1.教师出示五月份的日历并提示说“There are some special days in May. What are they?”,引导学生回答“May Day and Mother’s Day.”。教师板书special days并帮助学生理解这个短语。 教师补充“May Day is on May 1st. Mother’s Day is on the second Sunday in May. It’s on May 10th this year.”。教师出示六月份的日历并提示说“There are some special days in June. What are they?”,引导学生回答“Children’s Day and Father’s day.”。
2.教师引导学生观看Part A Let’s try的图片并提问“Which month are Mr Jones and Zhang Peng talking about?”,学生通过听录音找到答案“They are talking about April.”。
3.教师提问“There are some special days in May, too. What are they?”,教师播放课本录音,学生通过听录音找到答案“The school art show and the reading festival.”,教师板书这个句型。
4.教师呈现艺术节和读书节的相关图片,并提问“When is the art show/the reading festival this year?”,学生在课本中找到答案“The art show is on May 1st this year.”“The reading festival is on May 5th.”。
5.教师引导学生完成表格,然后俩人一组进行问答。

6.教师播放录音,学生跟读。
7.学生以多种形式朗读课文,如:俩人一组分角色朗读、小组比赛朗读、空出对话中的重点句子让学生补充。

Step 3:Consolidation&Extension(巩固&拓展)
1.教师出示儿童节、五一劳动节、国庆节、元旦四张图片并提示四个短语Children’s Day、May Day、China’s National Day、New Year’s Day及四个日期January 1st、May 1st、June 1st、October 1st,让学生将图片、短语和日期配对。
