Lesson 1 Visiting a British Family
【教学目标】
1.知识与技能
学生通过快速阅读,了解了文章的大意和每段的大意,训练了抓住文章主旨和获取文章具体信息的阅读技巧。通过细读文章,详细了解拜访英国人家庭时具体要注意的事项。并能够在此基础上,从文中所涉及的方面入手,讨论外国人拜访中国家庭时的注意事项。让学生熟悉课文中和西方文化和习俗相关的词汇和课文的内容。训练学生的阅读技能、提高阅读能力,并能对所学内容进行口头复述。此外,能用自己的话来介绍一些中国的文化和习俗。
2.过程与方法
采用任务型教学法,通过图片导入,学习词汇和短语。通过提供句型,引导学生进行复述和归纳,从而掌握本课技能。
3.情感态度价值观
通过对西方文化习俗的了解,学生的文化意识和敏感性得到培养和提升,并体会到待人接物等礼仪在生活中的重要意义。
【教学重点难点】
重点:通读全文后能正确理解文章意思,掌握本文词汇和短语。
难点:能讨论并正确表达在拜访家庭时中西方文化的差异。
【教学过程】
教学活动
导入:导入话题,准备阅读
1.Show students a dinner party invitation card sent by a British friend Helen to elicit the topic: Visiting a British Family.
2.Ask Students some questions about visiting friends for the first time and arouse their interest in reading
3.Show students some pictures and teach some new words.
活动:扫读,理清层次,把握关键信息
1.Ask Students to skim the passage and give it a proper new title.
2.After scanning:
(1)matching the main idea of each paragraph;
(2)judging “T/F” statements.
活动:细节阅读,探寻事实真相
Ask Students to read paragraph by paragraph and complete different tasks:
1.Paragraph 1: Find the missing words;
2.Paragraph 2: Find the relevant information and fill in the blanks, and then say something about each part;
3.Paragraph 3: Tick the right boxes and tell the reasons by doing “questions and answers;
Paragraph 4: Complete a dialogue according to this paragraph, and then ask Ss to do some more oral practice.
活动:小结,复述原文
1.Give some key words, help Students to summarize the whole passage.
2.Ask Students to retell each paragraph by giving the key words.
测试:巩固内化,测试学习成效
1.Ask Students to discuss in groups what we do when we go visiting our friends in China;
2.Help students to form an oral composition.
测试:总结分享口头作文,引出情感教育目标
1.Make a summary to help the Students understand the differences between China and Western countries when people visit families.
2.Share a famous saying with the students. “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”

1.Read and recite the passage;
