Lesson 2 At the School Library
【教学目标】
1.Knowledge objectives: To have a better understanding of the reading material of U2L2.
2.Ability objectives: To come to know the use of libraries with the help of the group discussion and cooperation.
3.Moral objectives: Continue to talk about our school library rules.
【学情分析】
本堂课的知识侧重点为谈论图书馆规则,篇幅较长,但结构清晰,应采用提纲式教学。本堂课的学习目标为:让学生了解本篇阅读材料的结构和意思;通过多种多样的形式循序渐进的掌握图书馆的用处;同时鼓励学生利用所学英语,谈论我们自己的以及校外的图书馆,进而理解知识源泉对于自身的重要性。
【教学重难点】
1.To master some useful phrases and grammar points of the passage.
2.To practice listening, speaking, reading and writing in class.
【教学过程】
I. Warming-up let the students read and act out the text we’ve just learned. Read and act out the new text. 培养学生语感,在集体营造的语言环境中规范语音、语调。
II. Revision
1.Check their spelling of the new words of Part II.
2.Let them do some pattern drills with the phrase “so that”.
3.Have a dictation.
4.Do some pattern drills.
(1)复习所学单词
(2)巩固目的状语从句
III. Practice on the passage
Step1.Deal with Paragraph 1.
Step2.Deal with Paragraph 2.
Step3.Deal with Paragraph 3.
Step4.Listen and fill in the blanks.
Step5.Read and fill in the blanks.
Step6.Get to know some other services libraries provide.
讲练结合,逐步熟悉短文的结构和大意。
IV. Further practice on the passage
Step1.Let the students match the main idea of each paragraph.
Step2.Encourage the students to talk about their own school library.
Step3.Match the main idea of each paragraph.
Step4.Try to talk about their own school library in English. 巩固练习,让学生更清晰短文的脉络,进而用所学英语对本校的图书馆做一番谈论。
V. Summary & Homework Oral work: Say something about our Baoshan Public Library on Yong Qing Road.
知识拓展:让学生进一步谈论宝山图书馆。
知识延伸:让学生在充分理解原文的基础上,独自完成配套练习
