Sticking to a vegan diet might sound difficult, especial with many popular dishes containing meat or other animal products. Yet in recent years, veganism has become one of the fastest-growing lifestyle trend in the world. According to Huff Post, more than 3 million people in the United States are vegans. In the UK, about 542,000 people choose veganism over the past decade.
What is driving this growth in veganism? One reason may be that people want to protect the environment. Produce meat and dairy products is known to be stressful for the environment. According to a 2013 study by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, global meat manufacturing causes about 18 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. This figure is high than all the world’s cars, trains and planes combined. According to BBC News, another reason is why many of today’s young people believe it’s wrong to kill animals for food.
For many people, veganism simply means eating no meat, cheese or eggs, and going animal-free also applies to fashion and manufacturing. For example, leather is used to make shoes and clothing. Every year more than a billion animals, from cows to snakes, killed to make leather products from their skins. Now, many brands are looking other materials. So, if you’re interested in protecting animals and to saving the environment, you might want to give veganism a try.

When I was young, I didn’t know what friendship. When I stayed with my friends, a warm feeling came out of the bottom from my heart. Now I have grown up and got many friend. And I have been tasted the pleasant feeling of friendship. When I am happy, they are also happy and shared the happiness with me. When I make progress, they will be very exciting. Instead, when I’m in a difficult situation, they will offer help to me. So friendship is never an one-way ticket. If we want to get them, we must treat others well at first. We should always be ready to help others, especially that they are in difficult situations.

I can’t swim because I have a strong fear of water. Look back my childhood experiences, I think that three reasons might explain the fear. The first reason is that I was not allow to go near the water when I was a child, for my mother had a unreasonable fear of it. So, even as a child that I was taught to see the water as something danger. Second, my eyes became bad when I was five. If I took off my glass in the water, I couldn’t see anything, or this increased my fear. The worst part of my experience is that as a child I saw a neighbor drowning. After then I have been more frightened.

A few months after returning the US from Germany, I took part at a college course in French. Since I can speak German well in Germany, I thought that it might be interested to begin studying another language. In the first class, the teacher asked us to do a pronunciation exercise, in which he would say one word or two in French, and each student would do their best to copy. When he got to me, he kept having me to say more words, and I finally asked him what. “I find it great funs. It’s the first time I’ve heard an American speak French with a German accent,” he explained it.

I live in a typical Chinese family of four generations lived together under same roof. Everyone has funs with each other here. Every night, we will have dinner together, talking or laughing around the dinner table so that all the worries of the day will be swept away. At weekends, Dad will take Grandpa, that likes outdoor activities a lot, to the countryside to fish. Mom and Grandma will cook delicious food for ourselves. When the weather is fine, I will push my 95-year-old great grandmother in a wheelchair to sunbathe in the yard. My family is such harmonious that I have been grown up into a person with love and responsibility. I will definite teach what I had already learned to my future children.
