四、教学过程
Step I Warming-up
1. T plays a video “What can you do?” and asks Ss to pay attention to the sentences with red words.
2. Ss try to summarize the key structures.
设计意图:通过动画导入新课,激发学生的学习兴趣的同时,初步感知语法,并引导学生提取本课学习内容。
Step II Pre-listening
New words:
T teaches the new words and expressions. Then ask some Ss to read them, and check their pronunciations.
Activity 1
1. Ss match the words and expressions with pictures in Activity 1.
2. Ss check in groups.
3. T calls back the answers in whole class.
设计意图:先学习新词汇,然后通过练习巩固学习效果。
Activity 2
1. T asks Ss to listen to the recording and check the things in Activity 1 which Tony’s dad can do.
2. T plays it again for Ss to check.
3. T elicits the answers from the whole class.
设计意图:通过练习检验学生学习效果,并巩固新知,为接下来的听力活动做准备。
Step III While-listening
Activity 3
1. Ss listen to the recording and check (√)the clubs they want to join.
2. T checks the answers with Ss.

Step IV Post-listening
1. T ask Ss to read the conversation (Activity 3) and answer the questions.
(1) Why does Daming join the Music Club?
(2) Does Tony like playing table tennis best?
设计意图:通过问答练习,进一步加深学生对对话内容的理解并培养学生从阅读对话中获取细节信息的能力。
2. T presents some language points.
(1) I’d like to join the Music Club because I can play the piano. 我想加入音乐社团是因为我会弹钢琴。
定冠词the用于西洋乐器前(民族乐器前不加),例如:
play the violin 拉小提琴 play the piano 弹钢琴
演奏中国乐器名词前不加冠词,例如:
play erhu 拉二胡
进行球类运动、下棋不用冠词,例如:
play basketball 打篮球 play volleyball 打排球
(2) I think she’d like to join the Dance Club because she can dance really well. 我认为她想加入舞蹈俱乐部,因为她真的跳得好。
would like意为“想要”,其语气比用 like婉转些。具体用法如下:
①后面接名词或代词,表示“具体要”某样东西。
②后面接动词不定式,表示“愿望,喜爱”,常用于有礼貌地提出邀请、请求或建议。
③would like后面可以用动词不定式作宾语补足语。
(3) I can cook eggs, but that’s all. 我会炒鸡蛋,但仅此而已。
that’s all是口语中一句非常有用的表法,表示仅此这些或无关紧要。
(4) Don’t worry about Chinese. 别担心中文。
worry about=be worried about 担心
设计意图:呈现本单元的重要语言点讲解,帮助学生掌握相关知识。
Activity 4
1. T asks Ss to complete the passage in Activity 4 individually, then check their answers in pairs.
2. T checks the answers with the whole class.
设计意图:检验学生对对话的理解效果,并复习新词。
Activity 5
1. T explains that “can” is pronounced in two different ways depending on the stress in the sentence.
2. T shows some sentences and leads Ss to read them one by one.
3. Ss think of some more examples and guess the stress with other classmates and the pronunciation of “can”.
设计意图:通过先讲解,再例句展示,由易到难,帮助学生掌握can的不同读音。
Activity 6
1. Ss listen to the recording and read after it.
2. Ss practice the sounds in pairs.
3. T shows more examples and helps Ss to find the rules of pronunciation.
设计意图:通过拼读单词,总结字母e在单词中的发音规律。
Activity 7
Ss ask and answer in pairs with the information in the table.
One S stands at the back of the classroom, the other S asks him questions according to the table and examples.
T and other Ss judge if they are right.
If they ask and answer correctly, the S at the back of the classroom can take a step forward. Otherwise he takes a step back.
After the three pairs finish the dialogue, the S who stands in front of the others wins.
设计意图:通过跳方格游戏增加活动乐趣,巩固所学知识。

(1) 表示仅此这些或无关紧要,意为“没别的;没事;没什么;事情就是
这样”。如:
