一、教学目标
1. 能够掌握本模块词汇:fly, kite, swim
2. 能够掌握重点句型:
(1) —Can you cook, Daming?

(4) I’d like to be the class monitor.
(5) I want to be the PE monitor.
3. 能正确运用情态动词“can”表示能力的肯定、否定与疑问形式。
4. 培养学生的团队意识和竞争意识。

情态动词can 的肯定句、否定句及一般疑问句的运用。

四、教学过程
Step I Warming-up
T asks Ss to look at the pictures and fill in the blanks.
2. T guides Ss to review the vocabulary of Unit 1 and Unit 2.
3. T ask Ss to add as many words as they can to make phrases.
4. Ss play a guessing game, asking their partners some questions in order to guess which monitor they would like to be.
e.g. —Are you ready to help others? —Yes.
—Are you good at football/basketball…? —Yes, I’m good at football/basketball.
—Do you often help your mother do cleaning at home? —Yes, I do.
设计意图:复习前两单元重点知识。
Step II Presentation
Language practice
1. T reads through the example sentences and asks Ss to repeat them.
I can play the piano.
She can dance really well.
We can teach you Chinese!
Can you cook?
Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
2. T guides Ss to find out how the sentence patterns change.
3. T makes a summary of the use of CAN.
设计意图:让学生们按老师指导的方法分析句子,总结语法结构,在实际的运用中提高自己的分析能力。
Step III Practice
Activity 3
1. T tells Ss to read the sentences and think carefully about when to use “can” and “can’t”.
2. T asks Ss to complete the sentences on their own and then check the answers in pairs.
3. T checks the answers.
设计意图:通过练习巩固情态动词can的用法。
Grammar Exercises
T shows some exercises from the senior high school entrance examination and lets Ss finish them. Then check the answers in the whole class.
设计意图:通过让学生看近年中考题巩固情态动词can的知识点,在体验中考题型的过程中加深对该语法点的理解。
Activity 4
1. T ask Ss to read through the passage and try to guess the missing words.
2. Ss complete the passage with the correct form of the words from the box.
3. T asks Ss to check the answers with a partner.
4. T and Ss check answers together.
设计意图:通过练习,复习巩固本单元词汇。
Step IV Production
Activity 1
1. T asks Ss to do Activity 1. Add the activities to the list as many as they can.
2. Relay in sentence making:
(1) T divides the whole class into five groups. Each member of a group should write questions for each activity one by one on the blackboard. (See which group can write the most correct questions.)
(2) Two students will collect the sentences on the blackboard and see which group does the best.
3. T asks Ss to have an interview in groups. One S in a group plays the role of the interviewer and asks questions in Activity 1. Another S makes notes, and other Ss answer these questions.
4. Each group chooses a S to give a report of the questions and answers to the rest of the class.
e.g. Four students can fly a kite…
设计意图:利用句子接龙游戏,调动课堂气氛,帮助学生练习情态动词“can”的一般疑问句的用法。通过角色扮演帮助学生在真实情景中运用目标语言。
Step V Summary
T lets Ss say what they have learnt in this class by themselves.

设计意图:归纳本课所学重点知识。
Step VI Homework
Make a survey about “What can you do? What can your family members do?”.

1. T tells Ss to show the result of the survey about “What can you do? What can your family members do?”
2. T asks Ss to make a report about what they and their family members can do to the class according to their survey.
设计意图:检查作业完成情况,通过学生报告复习can的用法。
Step II Presentation
Around the world
1. T reads through the information with the whole class.
2. T shows some pictures and ask Ss to discuss what they can see.
3. T guides Ss to talk something about the countries and languages and summarize world English.
设计意图:介绍联合国的六种官方语言,让学生了解不同国家的语言差异。
Step III Practice
1. T shows a poster for a school show. Ask Ss to look at the poster and think about what they can do in the school show. Have a talk in their group.
2. T lets Ss complete a list.
3. T asks Ss to express what the members of their group can do in the school show.
设计意图:谈论自己在学校表演中能表演的节目,锻炼实际运用“Sb. can...”的能力。
Step IV Production
1. T shows some posters for school clubs.
2. T asks Ss to say something about “What is a poster?” “Why do we need to design a poster?” “How can we design a poster?”
3. Ss do Activity 5.
Ss work in groups of three or four and talk about a new school club.

否定回答: No, 主语+can’t.
如:She can swim→Can she swim?
Yes, she can. /No, she can’t.
设计意图:带领学生梳理所学知识,方便学生课后巩固复习。
