Analysis of materials 本节课是新目标七年级下册第7单元第一课时,整个课时主要是学习询问天气情况的表达方式,以及学习表天气特征的形容词,是一堂听说课。围绕天气展开听说读的活动,通过本课的学习,使学生掌握基本词汇和对天气的描绘,学会表达不同天气的不同活动,使学生积极运用目标语言,并运用于实际生活。
Analysis of students 七年级的学生已经有了一定的英语基础能够进行简单的对话。在课堂教学中注重兴趣的培养。创设情境,让学生积极有效参与,为学生提供充分的自主学习和合作学习的环境,使学生在活动中相互影响,促进了语言实际应用,同时关注学生情感,帮助他们树立自信,展现学生个性。

Students can talk about the weather.Emotion Objects We should try to protect the environment to improve the weather, save water, plant trees, etc.

Step1.Revision 1. Greet the class as usual;2.Revise the present pro- gressiveShow some pictures which are covered. Ask Ss to guess: What are they doing? What's she/ he doing? Try to use the present progressi- ve to answer teacher’s questions. 通过复习现在进行时态及问题的设计为新课导入做好铺垫,并激活学生已学的知识。.
Step2.Warming up and Lead-in Listen to music about CCTV weather report. Students listen to music to guess what TV show is. 学生通过听熟悉的音乐来猜猜这是什么节目来引入今天的话题是关于天气的。
Step3Presentation- 1. Teach the new words:1).Show Ss the pictures of a sunny/rainy/windy…day. Teach students to read the new words. 4)Show some weather signs. Then ask students "Do you know them? Please discuss and answer." Step5Exercise Give Ss some exercises to do in class Ss to write .then check them. 巩固所学的知识并检查学生学习的效果。
Step6Sum up Use the drills “How is the weather …?” and “What’s the weather like …?” on the blackboard to review the key structure.
Step7Homework Imagine you work for QHTV,please write a report about the weather and what the people are doing on weekend in QingHai. 培养学生的口语及写作能力。
