Ⅰ.Analysis of teaching materials:?
The topic of this unit is to give students a better understanding of the application of computer and encourages students to design their own android with imagination. Speaking and writing part belongs to the output during process of learning. The students are able to introduce their android and write a passage to describe it based on the knowledge related to androids and computers they have learnt in this unit.
Ⅱ.Learning objectives: (According to the new curriculum standard )
1. know the main idea of the passage and get the aspects of the android.
2. Discuss and talk about their android in a group.
3.Write a passage to describe their dreamy android.
4.Cultivate the students’ interests in science and technology.
Ⅲ.Key points and difficult points:(based on the analysis of teaching material)
1. How to express their opinions in a proper way.
2. How to write a good passage to describe something.
Ⅳ.Analysis of the students:
The senior students have adapted to English learning in high school, and the topic of this unit is very interesting for the students. But they still need to be active and express their opinions in English. They also have mastered the basic listening speaking viewing reading and writing abilities. But they still need opportunity to practice, so I will arrange some activities to get them involved in my class as real masters while I will act as a listener and organizer.

1. Task-based teaching and learning methods.
2. Group work and communication to finish speaking task.
3. Explanation to give some guidance about writing structure and language .

1. Lead in by the following greeting :
Are you happy? Today I want to bring you a friend to make you happy and relaxed.?Now let’s the short video and tell me what my friend can do?
(The purpose is to arouse their interest and direct their attention to my class as well as creating a relaxing learning atmosphere.)
2. Reading: Andy-the android
Now let’s learn another android who is different from Alpha. Can you get the name of the android? What does Andy look like? What about the size? What can he do? What is his job? From his ability, can you tell the characters of Andy.
( The purpose is to check whether they have understood the reading passage make a preparation for speaking.)
3. Discussing and speaking.
( Now it is your time to design your own android. Work as a group to discuss the following information: name appearance size ability job and character)
(The purpose is to give the students a chance to express themselves and stimulate their imagination for an android. This is also a good preparation for writing.)
4.Showing and writing
First show the students my android and my writing passage to the students, from which they can learn the structure and language of the writing.
Second ask the students to write a passage to describe their dreamy android that they talked about just now.
5. Evaluation
(1). Give them some guidance about writing such as structure tense and so on.
(2).Ask one or two students to write their passage on the blackboard and ask one student to give some comments and evaluation and another to improve it.
(The purpose is to develop their writing skills and a sense of cooperation.)
6.Homework
(1).Finish your writing and improve your passage.
(The purpose is to finish what they have not finished and consolidate what they have learned in the class.)

Show the students a short video about an android that can do all kinds of things.
Ask the students to think about what the android can do.

Step3?Discussing and talking
Show the students some pictures of androids to help the students imagine their own android.
Ask the students to discuss and draw the picture of their own robot as a group.
Invite some of them to share and introduce their robot to us.
Step4 Pre-writing
Show the students a short flash about me who need a robot urgently. And then my sample writing of my dreamy android is also shown to students.
Ask the students to think about what they can learn from my writing. Remind them to pay attention to 2 parts. One is the structure and the other is the language of this writing.
