Spirit of volunteering
The boys study in the classrooms made of bamboo, whose roofs are made of grass. Science is the biggest challenge for Jo and she has better imagination in teaching because there is no electricity, water, textbooks or equipment.
It took us two and a half hours to get there. Mucap’s house was a low bamboo hut and grass stuck out of the roof. There were no windows and small doorway .
Mucap built a fire and laid stones on it. When hot, he placed them in an empty oil drum. Then he covered the vegetables with banana leaves and left them to steam.
Volunteers are not paid not because they are worthless but because they are priceless.

There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my hopes with you,
and I can share my fears with you,

There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my friends with you,
and I can share my life with you,
and sometimes share a prayer with you.
