Step 1 Warming up & Leading in
1.Greet the students and check the homework.
2.Watch a video program about the weather.
e. g.
T:What's the date today?
Ss:It's...
T: Right. So it's late spring/early summer/late autumn/ early winter now. The weather is good/bad today. Look at the sun/cloud/rain/wind/ snow! How is the weather today?
Ss:It's sunny/cloudy/rainy/windy/snowy.(板书新单词)
3.Read the new words and remember them.
4.Translate the new words into Chinese.

本课时用谈论天气的话题继续学习现在进行时的用法,侧重于听、说的练习,目的是不断巩固和加强学生的听说能力;在活动的选取方面结合目标语言的模仿操练及任务型的情景练习,使学生多方位地理解现在进行时的用法。 通过本节课的学习,学生可以熟练地运用有关谈论天气和现在进行时的句型,自如地与他人进行交流,活学活用所学知识。在个人展示、小组合作与竞赛等活动中充分调动学生的积极性,激发学生学习的热情,体现教师的主导地位和学生的主体地位。

(2)Can I take a message for him?
要我给他捎个口信吗?
Could you just tell him to call me back?
你能否叫他给我回个电话?
以上两句中的情态动词can和could相当于汉语中的 “可以”“能否”,用于表达请求,只是could在语气上更加委婉、客气。
(3)tell sb. to do sth.意为“告诉某人做某事”,其否定结构为 tell sb. not to do sth.。
(4)“No problem.(没问题)”表示很爽快地答应别人的请求。
