Discuss the language points.
(1)spend意为“花费”。既可以指花费时间,也可以指花费金钱。它的常用结构为“某人+ spend(s) +时间/金钱+on sth.” 或“某人+ spend ( s ) +时间/金钱+ doing sth.”。
He often spends much money on/buying books.
他经常花费大量金钱买书。
(2)watch sb. /sth. doing sth.意为“观看某人/某物正在做某事”;watch sb. /sth. do sth.意为“观看某人/某物做了/经常做某事”。
类似的动词还有see, hear ,notice (注意)等。

他们在看我们踢足球。
We often watch them play soccer.

(3)enjoy后的动词要用-ing形式,即enjoy doing sth,表示“喜欢做某事;享受做某事所带来的愉悦和乐趣”。
I enjoy reading on rainy days but my sister enjoys sleeping.
在下雨天我喜欢读书而我姐姐喜欢睡觉。
Step 5 Writing
1.Work on 3a.
T: Look at the map of Cindy’s neighborhood in 3a and fill in the blanks.

2.Ask the students to read the passage aloud for three or five minutes. Then ask some students to retell the passage.
3.Work on 3b.
T:Boys and girls,please draw a map of your neighborhood and write about it with the help of the questions in 3b.
