《伊索寓言》原书名为《埃索波斯故事集成》,是古希腊民间流传的讽喻故事,经后人加工,成为现在流传的《伊索寓言》。《伊索寓言》是世界上最早的寓言故事集。同时,《伊索寓言》是世界文学史上流传最广的寓言故事集之一。《伊索寓言》主要是关于古希腊下层平民和奴隶的斗争经验和生活教训的总结,反映了他们的思想情感和愿望。许多故事不仅脍炙人口,而且还具有教育意义,如《狐狸和葡萄》《乌龟与兔》《农夫与蛇》《狼和小羊》等。一部分寓言鞭挞了贪婪、残酷、虚伪、欺骗、阴险等非正义的现象,反映了穷人和奴隶的处境,表达了他们对社会的认识,如《苍蝇与蜜》说明贪婪是祸患的根源;《猫和鸡》勾画出恶者的伪善;《狼和小羊》揭露了狼的专横与残暴;《农夫与蛇》告诫人们:恶人的本性不会改变,不应怜悯他们;《鹰与屎壳郎》歌颂了弱者对强者的反抗和胜利;《三只公牛与狮子》说明弱者只有团结一致、齐心协力才能生存。大量的寓言是生活中的经验之谈,如《牧人与野山羊》《狐狸和樵夫》《蝮蛇与水蛇》教大家如何选择朋友、对待朋友;《乌龟与兔》说明骄傲者必败;《乌鸦与狐狸》要我们警惕阿谀奉承;《狐狸和鹏》告诉我们,智慧比外表更重要;《野猪与狐狸》指出:人们应当未雨绸缪,防患于未然。这些寓言对我们的为人处世有很大启迪。

伊索(公元前620年—公元前560年),是公元前6世纪古希腊的一个寓言家,生活在小亚细亚,弗里吉亚人。他与克雷洛夫、拉·封丹和莱辛并称世界四大寓言家。他曾是萨摩斯岛雅德蒙家的奴隶,曾被转卖多次,但因知识渊博,聪颖过人,最后获得自由。自由后,伊索开始环游世界,为人们讲述他的寓言故事,深受古希腊人民的喜爱。公元前5世纪末,“伊索”这个名字已是古希腊人尽皆知的名字了,当时的古希腊寓言都归在他的名下。现在常见的《伊索寓言》是后人根据拜占庭僧侣普拉努得斯搜集的寓言以及后来发现的古希腊寓言传抄本编订的。课件6张PPT。Unit 1
