六年级下册第十二单元第1课时(Period 1 How to read a story) 小学六年级的学生和低年级学生相比自主意识增强,具有比较强的自主探究能力、观察能力、思维能力和语言表达能力。他们喜欢在自己的探索中获取知识,在英语认知方面已经有了一定的基础,能够独立获取知识,并开始能参加深层次的学习与互动。但自制力还不够强,需要教师通过多种教学手段,创设趣味盎然又有效的英语课堂来不断地激发和强化。
学情分析教材分析
本套教材包括四个模块,每个模块有三个单元。其特点如下:
1.强调语言运用。本教材素材多样,注重提升孩子的阅读、写作技能。
2.注重能力培养。引导学生在学习中反思,在反思中学习。
3.突出兴趣激发。教学形式多样化,其中包括对话、阅读、写作等。
4.融合学科内容。对其他学科的兼容并蓄。
5.重视灵活扩展。充分考虑学校、老师、学生个体的差异。
基于教材与学情,我们对文本进行了整合、再构、开发。第一课时按照学生阅读习惯,引导学生从封面开始,带着问题读故事,再通过听、说、读的方式用多个故事片段层层推进,使学生逐步掌握阅读故事的基本方法,并学会如何提取关键信息并总结、复述故事,以达到自主阅读的目的,为第二、第三课时做铺垫和准备。第二课时对单独一篇文章进行深层次研读,训练了学生的阅读能力并培养了学生的深层次思考能力。第三课时意在让学生在好书推荐活动中训练阅读、总结能力,让学生能够自由表达个人观点。从而培养学生思辨能力,使其学会批判性阅读。
单元设计整体思路和依据单元目标
(1)知识目标:
单词: pea pod, bullet
句型:复习I’ll句型及过去时
(2)技能目标:能听懂、理解多篇与本单元难度相似的文章,能从文章中提取关键信息并整合。
(3)情感态度目标:在多种活动中激发学生对阅读的热情。
(4)学习策略目标:让学生在丰富的学习资源支持下,通过各种方法提高阅读能力,并提升其对独立阅读的信心。

1.通过本课时学习,学生能够掌握阅读故事的四个基本方法;
2.通过本课时学习,学生能够运用本课所学阅读策略进行阅读;
3.培养学生热爱阅读的态度和良好的阅读习惯。
教学重难点:
重点——学生能够掌握阅读故事的四个基本方法(Read the cover,Get key information,Make prediction,Make comments),并补充自己认为行之有效的阅读方法。

He looks in the well and shouts : “Oh!My god!The moon has fallen into the well!”
An older monkey runs over, takes a look,and says, “Goodness me!The moon is really in the water!”
And elderly monkey comes over. He is very surprised as well and cries out: “The moon is in the well!”
A group of monkeys run over to the well. They look at the moon in the well and shout: “The moon did fall into the well!Come on!Let’s get it out!”
Then,the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down,with his feet on the branch. And he pulls the next monkey's feet with his hands. All the other monkeys follow him. And they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.
Just before they reach the moon,the oldest monkey raises his
head and see the moon in the sky, He yells excitedly
“Don’t be so foolish!The moon is still in the sky!”

The rice is on the back of his horse but it falls down. The rice is too heavy to lift and he doesn’t know what to do. He only hopes someone can give him some help.
After a while, a man riding a horse comes. But he is a rich man living nearby. The poor man hopes another farmer will come. But the rich man sees him and says to him, “You need my help, right?” And he helps the poor man lift the rice onto the horse’s back.
“Sir, how can I repay(报答) you?” the poor man says.

Lion and the mouse A lion was sleeping in a forest. A mouse was playing on it. The lion couldn't sleep well and it was very angry. So it caught the mouse and wanted to kill it.
Then the mouse begged the lion to let it go. He promised that he would help the lion when he needed. The lion laughed at him and let him go.
One day the lion was caught in a net by a hunter. The mouse heard the lion and went to help . It started cutting the net with its teeth. The lion escaped(逃脱) and thanked the mouse.

课后反思 通过本课时学习,学生基本能够掌握阅读故事的基本方法并学会如何提取关键信息并尝试复述故事。从学生的课堂反应看来,基本达到了预设的目标和要求,突破了重难点。但在文本的选择上可以更加有趣,形式更多样,让学生的阅读体验更加丰富。
