Unit 1 What are you going to do at the weekend?
设计说明
本单元设置周末活动场景,教授学生“What are you going to do at the weekend?”“I’m going to…”等相关句型。通过听力练习,进一步巩固所学句型;通过对话表演,让学生在真实情境中进行学习,同时也为第二、三单元的学习扫清语言障碍。
教学目标
通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标:
1.知识目标:
掌握单词和短语:go over, picnic, housework, on, else, nobody, at, nothing, silly, fantastic。
2.能力目标:
(1)能谈论周末计划;
(2)能通过不同目的的听力训练, 迅速提取有用的信息;
(3)能听懂、读懂、理解和复述对话。
3.情感目标:
通过听说训练,让学生学会合理安排周末闲暇时间,使生活有张有弛;学会把握时间,提高做事情的效率。
重点难点
重点:be going to的用法。
难点:on, in, at的用法区别。

Step 1 Warming up
Ask and answer.
Step 2 Listening
1. Ask the students to look at the words in Box A and Box B in Activity 1, and then listen and match.

2. Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 2. Match the expressions in Activity 1 with the pictures. Check the answers.

1. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue and read by themselves.
2. Let the students find out some phrases and the difficult points.
3. Explain the difficult points.
4. Play the tape once again and ask the students to answer the questions on the text.

3. Nobody.没有人。
nobody不定代词,意为“没有人”,本身表示否定的含义。作主语时谓语用单数形式。
There is nobody in the room.房间里没有人。
Nobody knows the answer to the question.没有人知道这个问题的答案。
4. Lingling and I are going to have a picnic. 我和玲玲要去野餐。
(1) Lingling and I 意为“我和玲玲”,表示复数的概念。在英语中,通常把I 放在其他人的后面。
My parents and I are going to clean the house at the weekend. 我和我父母打算周末打扫房子。
My sister and I go to the same school.我和我妹妹上同一所学校。
(2)have a picnic意为“去野餐”。以have开头的常用短语还有:
have a break 休息一下 have a piano lesson 上钢琴课

have breakfast / lunch/ dinner 吃早饭/午饭/晚饭
5. What are your plans for the weekend? 你的周末计划是什么?
plan作名词,意为“计划”。make a plan意为“制定计划”;a plan for…意为“……的计划”。
What is your plan for Saturday? 周六你有什么计划?
Let’s make a plan for our trip.我们来为旅行制定一个计划吧。
[拓展]
plan也可作动词,意为“计划;打算”,plan to do sth.意为“计划做某事”。
They plan to have a picnic this weekend.这个周末他们计划去野餐。
6. Nothing. 没有什么。
nothing不定代词,意为“没有什么;没有东西”,指物,本身表示否定的含义,在句中作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
There is nothing in the box.=There isn’t anything in the box.
箱子里什么也没有。
Step 5 Practice
Ask the students to read the words in the box in Activity 4.
Complete the conversation with the correct form of the words from the box.
Check the answers together.

Step 6 Pronunciation and speaking
1. Play the recording once without stopping.
2. Play the recording again and stop at the end of each line. Ask the whole class to repeat.

Show some pictures or PPT of some activities. Ask and answer.

1. Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 1. Read the passage and match the people with the pictures.

look forward to 意为“盼望;期待”,to是介词,后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。

They are looking forward to visiting Beijing this summer.
他们期待着今年夏天去参观北京。
[注意]
look forward to后面不能跟动词原形。
2. We’re all going to wear the team shirt, and we’re going to cheer the players. 我们都将穿着队服,并且要为队员们喝彩。
辨析: wear, dress, put on 与 in
wear
表示“穿着”,强调状态,宾语是衣服、首饰、眼镜等
He always wears glasses.
他总是戴着眼镜。
dress
表示“给某人穿衣”,强调动作,宾语是人而不是衣服。dress sb. 给某人穿衣服;dress oneself自己穿衣服
She is dressing the baby.
她正在给那个婴儿穿衣服。
put on
表示“穿上;戴上”,强调动作,宾语是衣服、鞋帽等,不能与一段时间连用

in
表示“穿着”,强调状态,宾语是表示颜色或服饰的名词或代词

3. I hope they win the match! 我希望他们赢得比赛!
(1) hope此处用作动词, 意为“希望”。
①hope+ (that) 从句 希望……
I hope (that) she likes the flowers.我希望她喜欢这些花。
②hope to do sth. 希望做某事
We all hope to join the school football team.我们都希望参加校足球队。
③I hope so. 我希望如此。 I hope not. 我不希望如此。
—I think Mr Chen is in his office. 我认为陈先生在他的办公室。
 —I hope so.我希望如此。
(2) win此处用作及物动词,意为“赢得”,后面接表示比赛、名次和奖品等的名词或代词。
We want to win the basketball match.我们想赢得这场篮球比赛。
[拓展]
 win也可以用作不及物动词,意为“获胜”,后面不接宾语。
 Do you think they will win? 你认为他们会获胜吗?
4. I’m going to enjoy myself during the May Day holiday. 我要在五一假期期间好好玩一玩。
(1) enjoy oneself 意为“过得愉快”,相当于have a good time或have fun。
I enjoy myself at school. =I have a good time at school. = I have fun at school.
我在学校过得很愉快。
Do you enjoy yourself at the party? 你在聚会上玩得开心吗?
(2) during介词,意为“在……期间”。
She usually stays with her grandparents in Qingdao during the summer.
夏天她通常与祖父母一起待在青岛。 
5. Usually I spend the summer holiday at home…通常我在家过暑假……
spend动词,意为“度过”,spend…with sb.意为“与某人共度……”。
How do you usually spend your free time? 你通常怎样打发你的闲暇时间?
She is going to spend the weekend with her parents in the countryside.
她打算和父母一起在乡下过这个周末。
【拓展】
spend还可以表示“花费时间或金钱”,常用句型有两个:
①spend… doing sth. 花费时间或金钱做某事
My father spends two hours a day reading. 我父亲每天花两小时读书。
②spend… on sth. 在某方面花费时间或金钱
Don’t spend too much money on clothes. 不要在衣服上花太多钱。
Step 6 Practice
Ask the students to read the words in the box in Activity 4.
Complete the passage with the correct form of the words from the box.
Check the answers together.

(2) This summer holiday is going to be very different for Lucy because usually she spends the summer holiday at home, but this year she’s going on a summer camp in Sydney, Australia.
4. Ask the students to work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions in Activity 6.
5. Let the students write about their partners.

1. Read the passage.

一、be going to的含义
 be going to 表示打算做某事、计划做某事或有意做某事。
二、be going to的用法
 “be going to+动词原形 ”构成一般将来时态,根据句子主语的人称和数,be有三种形式,即 am, is和are。
