本单元利用图片教授新单词,设置失物招领场景,教授学生“Whose...is this?”“It’s...”“Is this...?”等相关句型,不仅练习了本课时新单词,还自然地引出名词性物主代词。通过听力练习,进一步巩固所学句型;通过对话表演,让学生在真实情境中进行学习,同时也为第二、三单元的学习扫清语言障碍。
教学目标
通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标:
1.知识目标:
(1)掌握单词和短语:crayon,eraser,glove,wallet,watch,whose,first of all,lose,find,mine,yours,tape,purple,hers,careful,on,lost and found box,be careful with,from now on,here is/are...
(2)掌握名词性物主代词及其用法。
2.能力目标:
(1)能使用名词性物主代词和名词所有格谈论物品所属、寻找失物主人;
(2)能通过不同目的的听力训练, 迅速提取有用的信息;
(3)能听懂、读懂、理解和复述对话;
(4)能完成对话到语篇的信息转换,填写重要信息。

培养学生助人为乐、拾金不昧的高尚品德,同时让学生在学习的过程中体验与他人合作,共同完成任务的乐趣。

1. Show some pictures or PPT of school things. Say what they are.

(1)first of all 意为“首先”,常用于句首。

(2)find v. 发现,找到; 过去式为found。
Many people here cannot find work. 这里很多人都找不到工作。

1. Ask the students to read the words and expression in the box in Activity 1.

1. People often lose things when they’re travelling or when they’re in a hurry. 人们在旅行中或是匆匆忙忙时经常丢失东西。
in a hurry意为“匆匆忙忙”,此处hurry用作名词。
She went to school in a hurry. 她匆匆忙忙地去学校了。
Don’t be in a hurry. 不要着急。
【拓展】hurry还可用作动词,意为“匆忙,赶快”。hurry up意为“快点儿,赶紧”。
Hurry up! The taxi is waiting.快点儿!出租车等着呢。
2. They leave things on planes, on trains, on buses and taxis. 他们把东西落在飞机、火车、公交车和出租车上。
leave 在这里表示“落下,遗忘”,“把某物落在/忘在某地” 用 “leave sth.+表地点的介词短语”表示。
He often leaves his keys at home. 他经常把钥匙忘在家里。
【拓展】leave的其他含义:
①表示“离开”。
My uncle will leave Jinan for Beijing.我叔叔将离开济南去往北京。
②表示“毕业”。
Nancy wants to be a doctor when she leaves school.
南希毕业后想当一名医生。
③表示“留到,留待”。
Leave it another week; he needs a rest. 把此事再放一周;他需要休息。
④leave还可以用作名词,表示“假期,休假”。
I have to ask for three days’ leave.我得请三天假。
3.That’s why there are lost and found offices at airports and stations.这就是机场和火车站都有失物招领办公室的原因。
That’s why... 意为 “这就是……的原因”。此处why引导表语从句,why 后面接的是结果。
That’s why they are so happy. 这就是他们如此高兴的原因。
【拓展】 that’s because 后接某事发生的原因
I was late for the meeting. That’s because there was too much traffic. 我开会迟到了,这是因为交通拥挤。
4. Hundreds of people come here every day. 每天都有许多人到这里来。
hundred 表示“百”; hundreds of 是一个概数,表示“好几百,许许多多”。当 hundred 前面有一个具体的数词时,表示确数,hundred 后不加s,也不与of连用;当表示概数时,hundred后加s,且与of连用。
