一、教学内容：学习美国的四个节日，Thanksgiving Day, Flag Day, Christmas, Halloween.
二、教学目标：1．所有学生能够准确朗读、听懂Thanksgiving Day, Flag Day, Christmas, Halloween.2．大部分学生能够运用“When is……？It’s on……” “What do you do on……？ I/We ……” “What’s your favorite festival? My favorite festival is……”句式来询问和回答有关节日的话题。3．所有学生了解美国主要节日，并激发他们了解国外文化的积极性，提高学习英语的兴趣。
三、教学重点、难点：重点：三个节日问答句式的正确表达。难点：节日时间的发音及翻译、新授词汇如decorate、hang、turkey、carve 的发音。
四、教学设计： Greeting:T: Good morning, everyone! S: Good morning, Isaac. T:（出示PPT）Welcome to my class. Let’s begin our English class now. Are you ready, boys and girls? (学生齐举手、放手并说 ready)一、Warm-up（7分钟）T: First, Let’s watch a video, and sing together. Attention, please. You have a task. When you watch the video, please write down “What food can you see?”请同学们边观看边记录出现的食物，并展示。（出示PPT，看食物图片，再观看视频） Students watch the video, sing and write the food.学生看着PPT出现的句式展示：将学生写的食物放到投影仪，学生说In this video, I can see…… Teacher writes “turkey, corn , carrots” on the blackboard, and let students practice.由Thanksgiving video 引出本节课主题：American festivals。二、New teaching（20分钟）T: Now, we are going to learn something about American festivals. Please listen carefully, and try to speak English, Can you? S：Yes, I can.Step1. PPT shows American festivals 1 and the picture of Thanksgiving. 板书：Thanksgiving T: Do you know when is Thanksgiving Day? PPT shows “It’s on……”S:It’s on…… 老师用汉语说说具体日子 then students read after the teacher,“It’s on the fourth Thursday of November”twice.PPT出示日历。 T: If I ask you “what do you do on Thanksgiving?” You should say” On Thanksgiving, I/we……” S1: On Thanksgiving, I/we…… S2: On Thanksgiving, I/we……Students read after the teacher .Step2. PPT shows American festivals 2, and the sentences “We fly the flag, we sing songs”T: What’s the festival? It’s easy.S1: Flag Day. Students read together, Flag Day.T: Yes , and When is Flag Day? 板书：Flag Day.S2: It’s on …. Students read together, It’s on June,14th. PPT出示日历。Step3. T: Now, let’s learn another American festival, ok?S: Ok.T：Please listen to a short music, and guess what’s the festival.PPT shows the music.S: It’s Christmas. 板书：ChristmasT: That’s right. When is it?S:It’s on……Teachers teaches twice. It’s on December, 25th. PPT出示日历。Finish the “What do you do on Christmas?” part.Step4. Pair work time（学生两两做对话，用给出的的句式进行问答练习,并展示）三、Pracise（12分钟）Step 1 Play the Jeopardy game. 课件出示冒险闯关游戏。用闯关问答的形式巩固今天所学的美国节日。Step 2 Summary。根据本节课所学，写几句话介绍一下你喜欢的中国节日吧。四、Ending（1分钟）T: That’s all for today.
