Step 1 Introduce the new unit
1. Teacher creates a story background to lead in the topic “Family show”.
2. Teacher presents a picture of penguin’s family and another of Peppa’s family to arouse kids’ interests to learn. Then a family photo of the teacher herself will be shown on the screen.
Step 2 Learn the new words and sentence patterns.
1. Teacher presents the family members one by one and introduces them with the new words and sentence pattern “This is ….” .
2. When Teacher introduces the family member, students are supposed to read the sentences after the teacher. Meantime, teacher sticks the flash cards to the blackboard.
3. Students will be required to read the new words and sentences one by one to get more familiar with them.
Step 3 Presentation
1. Teacher shows her own family photo again and introduces family members with the words and sentences which have been learned. Then students are encouraged to pretend to be the teacher and introduce the family members.
2. Teacher shows a boy and his family photo and then asks Ss to follow the audio to learn how to introduce family members.
3. Students do the pair work to practice the sentence patterns. Then Teacher invites some students to introduce their own family in the front of the class.

5.Students repeat after the teacher.
