专题八 并列句和复合句
考点一 并列句
并列句由两个或两个以上的简单句连接而成。 前后分句意义同等重要，它们之间用并列连词 连接。 常见的并列连词有：
连词 含义 关系
and 而且 ；接着 表并列或顺承关系
but 但是 表转折关系
or 否则 ；或者 表选择关系
so 因此；所以 表因果关系
It was the last day of the year and a larger crowd of people gathered under the town hall clock . 那是一年的最后一天， 一大群人聚焦在市正厅的大钟下面。
They rushed to the hospital , but they were too late . 他们急匆匆到了医院 ，但是太晚了。
Turn the heat down , or it’ll burn . 把炉火开小一些，不然就烧焦了。
He lowered his voice , so Doris couldn’t hear . 他压低了声音，所以多丽丝就听不到了。
例1 （2019安徽中考 58题1分） -Will you go to the picnic this Saturday ?
-I’d like to , ______ I’ll have to help after my baby sister .

解析 本题考查并列连词。根据答语中的“我想去，但是我不得不帮忙照顾我的小妹妹”可知所缺的词是but

考点二 宾语从句
宾语从句在复合句作宾语。 宾语从句是中考必考点。学习宾语从句时要注意以下三方面的内容。
1． 宾语从句要用陈述句语序。 如：
I asked him where he came from . 我问他， 他来自哪里。
2． 宾语从句的引导词
引导词 用法
that 引导词that可省略，宾语从句表达的是陈述语气。
if/whether 意为“是否”，宾语从句表达的是疑问语气。
特殊疑问词（组） 此类引导词what,when , where , how , why , how long , how far 等，宾语从句表达的是疑问语气
Sally said(that) she wanted to join the art club . 萨莉说她想加入美术社团。
I don’t know if/whether he will come to my birthday party 我不知道他是否会来参加我的生日聚会。
Can you tell me how I can get to the zoo ? 你能告诉我怎样去动物园吗？
【注意】一般情况下，whether和if可以互换使用，但在有些情况下例外。 如：
（1） 当从句作介词的宾语时，一般用whether 不用if. 如：
I worry about whether I hurt her feelings. 我担心是否伤了她的感情。
（2） 与or not 直接连用时，一般用whether .如：
I don’t know whether or not she will buy the dress . 我不知道她是否会买那件连衣裙。
（3） If 当“如果”讲时，引导的是条件状语从句，这时不能用whether 来代替。如：
If anyone calls , tell them I’m not at home . 要是有人打电话来， 就告诉他们我不在家。
3． 宾语从句的时态
宾语从句的时态要和主句的时态保持一致。
主句的时态 从句的时态
一般现在时、一般将来时、祈使句 根据句意的需要使用对应的时态
一般过去时 宾语从句要用对应的过去时态 。 比如：一般现在时要改为一般过去时，现在进行时要改为过去进行时，一般将来时要改为过去将来时
I don’t know what sports he likes 我不知道他喜欢什么运动。
Please tell me when they will arrive in Beijing . 请告诉我他们将会在什么时候到达北京。
I asked Jack how they would go to the museum . 我问杰克他们会怎样去博物馆。
例2 （2018安徽中考39题1分）-I wonder ______Jane gets on so well with her classmates .
-Because she always cares much about others .
A. whether B. how C. when D. why
解析 本题考查宾语从句的引导词。根据下文中的“因为她总是很关心别人”可推断，上文表示“我想知道Jane为什么和她的同班同学相处得这么融洽”，故所缺的引导词是why 。

考点三 状语从句
状语从句在句中作状语，用来表示时间、原因、条件、结果和让步等。
常考的状语从句的分类和引导词
状语从句的分类 从句的引导词
时间状语从句 when/while/as (当…时) ， before (在….之前) ,after （在…之后）,since (自从) , not…until （直到…才） , as soon as (一….就… )
条件状语从句 if(如果 ) ， as long as (只要), unless (除非)
原因状语从句 because (因为), since (既然) , as (由于)
目的状语从句 so that (以便， 为了) , in order that (为了)
结果状语从句 so that (结果是)， so … that / such … that (如此… 以至于)
让步状语从句 though /although (尽管，虽然 ) , even if (即使)， whatever (无论什么), wherever (无论在哪里) , whenever （无化何时）
I was doing my homework when my mother came in . 当我妈妈进来的时候，我正在写作业。
He did not go to bed until his father came back . 直到爸爸回来他才睡觉。
Unless bad weahter stops me , I go for a walk every day . 我每天都会去散步 ，除非遇上坏天气。
I like to eat apples because they’re good for my health . 我喜欢吃苹果，因为它们对我的健康有益。
Since everyone is here , let’s begin our meeting. 既然每个人都在这儿，我们开始开会吧。
He gets up early every morning so that he can catch the early bus . 他每天早上起得都很早，以便能赶上早班车。
It’s so hot that nobody nobody wants to go out . 天气太热，以至于没人想出去。
Although he had only entered the contest for fun , he won first prize . 尽管他参加这次竞赛只不过是闹着玩儿而已，却赢得了一等奖。
例3 （2019吉林省实验中学一模44题1分） Be yourself ! Never follow anyone else’s path . (道路) ______ you’re in the woods and you are lost .

解析 本题考查连词的用法。 根据本题语境可知，永远不要跟着其他人的路走，除非你在树林里迷路了，表示“除非； 如果不”要用unless , 故答案为A。

考点四 定语从句
在复合句中作定语的从句叫定语从句。 定语从句所修饰的词叫先行语，通常位于定语从句之前。在中考中，关于定语从句的考题主要围绕关系代词的选用来设题。
关系代词 所修饰的先行词 在从句中所作的成分
who 指人 主语、宾语
whom 指人 宾语
which 指物 主语、宾语
that 指人或物 主语、宾语、表语
whose 指人或物 定语
I don’t know the man who/that is wearing a blue hat . 我不认识那个戴帽子的男人。
She is the girl (who/whom/that) I’m looking for . 她就是我正寻找的女孩。
The bulding which/that stands on the left is a museum . 位于左边的大楼是一座博物馆。
There are still many people whose living conditions are miserable . 仍有许多人的生活条件是很艰苦的。
The room whose window is open is mine . 开着窗户的那个房间是我的房间。
【注意】当关系代词在定语从句中作宾语时，关系代词通常可省略。 如：
Mike is the boy I met yesterday . 迈克就是我昨天遇到的那个男孩。
I can’t find the pen my father bought for me . 我找不到我爸爸给我买的那支钢笔了。
例5 （2019湖北黄冈中考33 题1分） -Class, you should be thankful to those people ______helped and supported you .
-We will . Miss Chen .
解析 本题考查定语从句的关系代词。 先行词是people , 关系代词在从句中作主语，故who符合题意。

2. 选用关系代词的注意事项
（1） 如果先行词是all , much , anything , something , nothing , everything , little , none 等不定代词，关系代词通常用that . 如：
Is there anything that you don’t understand . 你有什么不懂的地方吗？
Tom told his mother all that had happened . 汤姆把发生的事都告诉了他的妈妈。
（2） 如果先行词是anyone , anybody , someone , somebody , nobody , those 等词时，关系代词用who。如：
Is there anyone here who will go with you ? 这里有会你你一起去的人吗？
People all like those who have good manners . 人们都喜欢那些有礼貌的人。
（3） 如果先行词被the only, the very , the last 等修饰时，关系代词等修饰时，关系代词常用that, 如：
This s the only book that I can find . 这是我能找到的唯一一本书。
（4） 当先行词被序数词或形容词最高级修饰时，关系代词通常要用that.如：
This is the best book that I have ever read . 这是我读过的最好的书。
例6 （2019 黑龙江哈尔滨双城期末7题1分） Harbin is the first city ______I visited during the summer vacation .
