3.认真听录音,然后按听到的顺序为男孩和女孩帮助他人的方式标上序号,集体核对答案,完成课本上1b的听力任务。
4.再听一遍录音,并跟读对话。
5.结对练习1a图片中的对话,并请一些学生表演出他们的对话。
6.模仿1a图片中的对话,让学生利用1b中的材料与同伴编练新对话,并邀请几组学生表演对话,完成1c。

Step 3 完成教材2a-2c的任务
1.认真观察2a中的图片,然后听录音并在他们打算要做的事情的框中打对勾,集体核对答案。
2.再听一遍录音,根据录音内容完成2b中的填空,完成后集体核对答案,然后大声地朗读五个句子。

【拓展】give out还可意为“发出(某种光、气味、热、烟雾等)”,这时与give off同义。如:The rose gives out/off a sweet smell.玫瑰散发出一股香甜的气味。
其他含give的短语还有:give back归还,返回;give in屈服;give up放弃。

【用法】used to是动词短语,意为“曾经……;过去……”。used to后跟动词原形,意为“过去经常做某事”,表示过去的习惯动作或状态,现在已经不再发生或不再存在,常用来与现在进行对比。如:He used to like singing.他过去喜欢唱歌。

1.give up的用法
①他们决定放弃这个计划了。

He_decided_to_give_up_learning_English.
give up意为“放弃”,是由“动词+副词”构成的动词短语,其宾语可以为名词或代词。当宾语为代词时必须放到动词和副词之间;give up后面还可以跟动名词,它的意思为“放弃做某事”。
2.动词不定式的用法
①戒烟是很正确的。

③她不让我走。
She_doesn't_allow_me_to_go.
④我有许多作业要做。

不定式由“to+动词原形”构成,其否定形式是“not_to+动词原形”。不定式可以带宾语或状语构成不定式短语,没有人称和数的变化,但有时态和语态的变化。不定式可作主语、宾语、宾语补足语、表语、状语和定语,但不能单独作谓语。
不定式短语作主语时,往往放在谓语之后,用it作形式主语;不定式短语作宾语时,如果还带有宾语补足语,往往把不定式宾语放在宾语补足语之后,而用it作形式宾语。有些动词后只能用动词不定式作宾语,如:decide,plan,expect,hope,wish,pretend,promise,refuse,afford,agree,ask等。

【用法】put off是由“动词+副词”构成的动词短语,意为“推迟”。其带宾语时,如果宾语是名词,可以放在off之前,也可放在off之后;如果宾语是代词,则必须将代词放在off之前。put sth.off意为“推迟某事”;put off doing sth.意为“推迟做某事”;put sb.off意为“取消,撤销(与某人的会面或安排)”。如:We have to put the sports meeting off because of heavy rain.因为大雨我们不得不推迟运动会。I'll have to put off visiting the farm until next week.我将不得不推迟到下周才参观那家农场。
【拓展】含有put的相关短语:put up张贴;put down写下,放下;put away把……收好;put on穿上;put out熄灭,扑灭。
2.lonely
lonely是形容词,它在句中既可作定语,也可作表语,表示“孤独的,寂寞的”意思。该词带有浓厚的感彩,具有“渴望得到同伴”的含义。
lonely用作定语时,意为“孤单的,无伴侣的;无人烟的,荒凉的,偏僻的”等。如:
At heart,I'm a lonely man.
在内心深处,我是一个孤独的人。
That's a lonely island.
那是一个荒凉的岛屿。
lonely用作表语时,表示“孤寂的,寂寞的”。如:
We never feel lonely in Shanghai.
在上海我们从不感到孤独。
I was alone but I didn't feel lonely.
我独自一人,但我并不感到孤独。
与lonely意思相近的alone既可用作形容词,又可用作副词,意为“独自的(地)、单独的(地)”,侧重于说明独自一人,没有同伴或助手,指的是客观情况。
alone用作形容词时,一般与be动词连用,在句中作表语。如:
She is alone at home.
她独自一人在家。
He is not alone in this idea.
有这种想法的不只是他一个人。
alone用作副词修饰动词时,应该放在动词后面作状语。如:
I like to work alone.
我喜欢独自一人工作。
Han Mei was reading alone when the teacher came into the classroom.
老师走进教室时,韩梅正独自一人在看书。
alone用作副词时,也可作定语,意为“只有,仅仅”,但必须置于它所修饰的名词或代词之后。如:
He alone was in the secret.
只有他一人知道内情。
This year alone,we've already planted ten thousand trees.
仅是今年,我们已经栽了一万棵树。
alone在句中的位置不同,句子的意思也不同。
She went to college alone last year.
去年她独自一人上大学去了。(没有别人送她去,她自己一个人去的)
3.care for
care for有以下几种意思:
①作“照料”讲(多用在正式的文体中),如:
She spent the best years of her life caring for her sick father.
她把一生中最好的岁月都用来照顾她生病的父亲了。
②作“关怀,关心”讲,如:
care for the younger generation关怀年轻的一代
③作“喜欢,愿意”讲(多用在疑问句或否定句中),用法多为care for sb.to do sth.。如:
Would you care for a cup of tea?
你想喝杯茶吗?
I don't/shouldn't care for him to read this letter.
我不愿意让他看这封信。

【用法】fix up是由“动词+副词”构成的动词短语,与repair同义,意为“修理;修补”,其后跟表示物的名词作宾语。其宾语如果是代词,则必须将代词放在up之前。如:Jimmy is busy fixing up his bike.吉米正忙着修理他的自行车。
【拓展】(1)如果fix up的宾语是“人”的话,则构成fix sb.up with sth.句型,意为“为某人安排某件事, 向某人提供某物”。如:I'll fix you up with a place to stay.我来给你安排住处。
(2)fix作动词还可意为“固定”。如:I fixed a post in the ground.我把一个木桩固定在地上。
3.I gave away my bike to a children's home.(P13)
我把我的自行车捐给了一家儿童之家。
【用法】give away是由“动词+副词”构成的动词短语,意为“赠送;捐赠”。其宾语如果是代词,则必须将代词放在二者之间。如:The rich man gave away most of his money to charity.那个富人把他的大部分钱都捐给了慈善事业。
【拓展】(1)give away还可以意为“颁发;分发”。如:The headmaster gave away the prizes at the school meeting.校长在校会上颁发了奖品。

【用法】be excited about意为“对……感到兴奋”,其后可以跟名词、代词或动名词作宾语,相当于be excited at。其中excited是形容词,意为“兴奋的”,其主语一般是人,其他常用结构还有be excited to do sth.做某事感到很兴奋。如:The children are excited about visiting the zoo.孩子们对参观动物园兴奋不已。
【拓展】exciting和excited一样都是形容词,但exciting意为“令人激动的;振奋人心的”,可以作定语修饰一个名词,也可以作表语。作表语时其主语通常是“物”。而excited意为“感到兴奋的;激动的”。只能作表语,其主语通常是“人”。如:We are excited at the news.我们对这个消息感到兴奋。There is an exciting soccer game on TV tonight.今晚有一场令人兴奋的足球比赛。
