Step 2 完成教材1a-1c的任务
1.让学生理解1a中短语的意思,讨论他们各自在家所做的家务活,并用每个词组造句,按要求完成课本上相应的任务。

4.完成2c的任务。通过小组活动,让学生运用“Could...?”句型来委婉地提出请求或征求别人的许可。

【用法】(1)Could you please do...在日常生活中用来礼貌地提出请求。肯定回答用Yes,sure./Certainly./Of course./With pleasure./No problem.等。否定回答时说I'm sorry I can't./Certainly not./No,I'm afraid I can't.等。
(2)take out the rubbish意为“倒垃圾”,take out是由“动词+副词”构成的动词短语,意为“带出去;取出;拔出;除掉”。如其宾语是名词,名词可以放在out之前,也可放在out之后;其宾语是代词时,则必须将代词放在out之前。rubbish是不可数名词,意为“垃圾;废弃物”。
如:Please take out your English book.请拿出你的英语书。There is a pile of rubbish in the corner of the street.在街道的拐角处有一堆垃圾。
【拓展】含take的其他短语:take after(外貌)相像;take away拿走;take down写下,记下;take off起飞,脱下;take care of照顾,照料;take up开始从事,着手处理。
Step 5 课堂小结
Guide the students to work in groups and talk about “What have you learnt in this class?”Then ask the students to compete in groups and write down the phrases and sentences on the blackboard.

Step 3 完成教材3c的任务

Step 4 重点词汇与句式攻关

【用法】throw down是动词短语,意为“扔下”。throw是动词,意为“投;掷;抛”,其过去式是threw。如:He threw down the book angrily and went out.他气愤地扔下书走了出去。
【拓展】throw down还有“抛弃;拒绝;推翻”的意思。如:He has thrown down a good offer.他拒绝了一个很好的提议。
含throw的其他短语:throw about乱扔;throw away扔掉;throw into扔进,投身于。
2.You watch TV all the time and never help out around the house.(P19)
你老是看电视,从不帮忙做家务。
【用法】all the time是固定短语,意为“一直;老是;频繁”。如:The baby cries all the time.那个婴儿一直哭。
【拓展】相关短语:(1)at times不时;偶尔。如:I make mistakes at times when I speak English.我说英语时偶尔会出错。
(2)at all times随时;任何时候;总是。如:He has a cool head at all times.他随时都有清醒的头脑。
3.as soon as的用法
①他一回来我就告诉他这个消息。

②他一坐下就拿出了英语书。
He_took_out_an_English_book_as_soon_as_he_sat_down.
as soon as连接的时间状语从句中,指未发生的动作时的规律:主句用一般将来时态,从句用一般现在时态代替一般将来时;指紧接着发生的两个短动作,主从句都用一般过去时态。

【拓展】pass其他用法:(1)作动词,意为“经过;走过”。如:When will his car pass this street?他的车什么时候经过这个街道?
(2)作动词,意为“通过”。如:I hope I will pass the math exam.我希望我会通过数学考试。
(3)作动词,意为“度过;消磨”,其宾语多为表示时间的词语。如:Where did you pass the vacation?你在什么地方度过假期的?

【用法】a waste of是固定短语,意为“浪费”。常用于句型It's a waste of...doing sth.中。这里waste是名词,意为“浪费;用”。如:It's a waste of time waiting any longer.再等下去就是浪费时间。
【拓展】(1)waste用作名词也可意为“废物,垃圾”。如:Put all the waste in this bag.把所有垃圾放进这只袋子里。
(2)waste还可用作动词,意为“浪费,消耗”。如:I don't like to waste your time.我不愿浪费你的时间。
(3)waste也可用作形容词,意为“废弃的;无用的”,在句中只用作定语。如:He makes a living by collecting waste bottles and paper.他靠收捡废纸、废瓶子谋生。

在家里为孩子提供一个干净舒服的环境是父母的任务。
【用法】provide用作及物动词,意为“提供;供应”,其后可接名词或代词作宾语;接双宾语时,常用provide sth.for sb.(提供某物给某人)或provide sb.with sth.(提供给某人某物)的结构。如:That hotel provides good meals.那家旅馆供应很好的饭食。He often provides some food for the homeless kids.他经常提供一些食物给那些无家可归的孩子。
【拓展】provide还可用作不及物动词,常与for、against等介词搭配。provide against意为“预防;防备”。如:We must provide against a rainy day.我们必须未雨绸缪。provide for意为“为……提供生活费;为……做准备”。如:It is your duty to provide for your parents.赡养父母是你应尽的责任。
3.Children these days depend on their parents too much.(P22)
如今孩子太依赖他们的父母。
【用法】depend on是动词短语,意为“依靠;依赖”。这里depend是不及物动词,跟宾语时要与介词 on/upon连用,后面跟名词、代词、动词-ing形式等,意为“视……而定;取决于;依赖于”。如:The price depends on the quality.价格取决于质量。
【拓展】(1)depend on/upon sb.to do sth.意为“指望某人做……”。如:You can't depend on him to join our club.你不能指望他会加入我们的俱乐部。
(2)It/That(all)depends.意为“这很难说/那得看情况”,常单独使用或放在句末。如:We may go out next Sunday,but that depends.我们可能下星期天去郊游,但那要看情况而定。
