Without pausing we jumped into the boat with the whalers and headed out into the bay. Looking down into the water, we could see Old Tom leading the way. If beating the water, Old Tom would show up and circle back to the boat again. At the start of the hunt, the pack of whales would together stop it from fleeing out to sea. Swiftly the body was dragged down into the depths of the sea. When floating up to the surface again, the body was collected as a reward by the whalers. Remember:
