roots
of
basketball
are
deep
in
Canada.In
1891
the
game
was
invented
by
Dr.James
Naismith,
a
Canadian
who
was
from
Almonte,
Ontario.
Having
been
given
the
task
of
creating
a
new
indoor
sports
activity
while
conducting

physical
education
class
at
the
international
YMCA
training
school
in
Springfield,
Massachusetts,
Naismith
designed
what

storied
amateur
teams
in

the
Edmonton
Commercial
Graduates

of

women
who
