You can make your mother happy by helping with chores.A)形容词的句法功能B)形容词的位置形容词作定语通常前置，但在下列情况中后置1．有些形容词只能作定语。
如：little，only，wooden，elder，woolen
man-made，kind-hearted，English-speaking，take-away
2．有些形容词只能作表语。
如：alone，asleep，awake，alive，well，ill，frightened注意：如：Jenny is weak, so she's often ill/sick.
You can see many sick people in the hospital.3．有些形容词貌似副词。
如：lovely， friendly，lively，lonely
4．有些形容词与定冠词the连用，表示一类人或物。
如： the old ， the young， the poor， the rich，
the disabled， the blind ， the deaf
5．多个形容词作定语时，通常按“外观(评价)→大小(长短、高低、形状
等)→年龄/新旧→颜色→国籍(地区、出处等)→材料”的顺序排列。
如：a beautiful tall building
a large yellow Chinese coat
副词的基本用法修饰动词He works hard on his subject.修饰形容词It's quite impossible for her to do it.修饰其他副词She speaks English very beautifully.修饰整个句子Luckily，she had got another chance.1.与形容词同形：2.形容词后直接加-ly：3.以y结尾的形容词，把y改为i，再加-ly：4.元音字母加e结尾的形容词，去掉e，再加-ly： 5.以le结尾的形容词，去掉e，再加-y：
6.其他形式的副词：副词的构成early ，hard ，late ，pretty ，far ，straightquickly ，clearly，widely，sadly， politely，really，
