turned upside down “被翻转过来的；被颠倒过来的”，作后置定语修饰boat。英语中短语和从句用作定语时, 一般置于名词之后, 作后置定语。

当它连接并列分句时，not only 后的分句用倒装语序。
eg . Not only did he built a house , but he also reused wood.

not only…but also…连接两个相同的句子成分。
eg. We speak not only Chinese, but also English.（并列宾语）

当连接并列主语时，用“就近原则”
