He is a police artist. Some people see
crimes and then talk to Joe. They tell
him what the criminal looks like. Then

【辨析】each与every
each 形容词, 指两者或两者以上中的“每一个”,侧重个体。代词, 可作主语、宾语或同位语,其后可接介词of。例:Each of the students has a new bike.=Each student has a new bike.每个学生都有一辆新自行车。
every 形容词, 指三者或三者以上中的“每一个”,侧重总体,不能单独使用。4. He wants to draw a good picture of each criminal,but this job is sometimes difficult.5. Many people don't always see things the same way so they may describe the same person differently.(1)not always 意为“不总是”,表示部分否定。当all、every、both、always 等词与not连用时,都表示部分否定。例:Not all students are from China.并不是所有学生都来自中国。
(2)way在此处用作可数名词,意为“方式;方法”,常与介词in连用。如果way前有this、that等限定词,介词in可省略;但是如果放在句首,介词in则不可省略。例:You can answer the question (in) this way.

(3)differently 作副词,意为“不同地”。它由形容词different 加后缀-ly构成。
例:The boy can tell the same story differently.
这个男孩能用不同的方式讲同一个故事。6. Another woman says...another 用于表示三者或三者以上的“又一,再一,另一(事物或人)”,其后接单数名词。常用短语:one...another...一个……(不确定数目中的)另一个……;one another互相。
例:Can you give me another book?你能再给我拿本书吗?
“another + 基数词+可数名词复数”意为“再来……,另外的……”,相当于“基数词+more + 可数名词复数”。例:I need another two eggs.=I need two more eggs.

①real 作形容词,意为“真正的;真实的”。它指客观存在而并非想象。其副词为really。

②true 作形容词,意为“真的”。它指与事实相符的而不是虚伪的、错误的东西。其副词为truly,名词为truth。
