Step 1. Warm-up
Think and say
教师出示许多动物的图片,引导学生思考:What animal do you like? What does it look like?
设计意图:通过设问帮助学生尝试描述自己喜爱动物的特征,为本课的学习做铺垫。
Step 1. Pre-reading
Guess and learn
教师出示半遮挡图片,引导学生猜测:What animal is it? 学生猜测,之后出全图,教师讲解生词:tadpole, frog.
设计意图:锻炼学生发散思维的能力,读前猜测,有助于提升学生的阅读兴趣。讲解故事中的重点生词,为理解故事内容打基础。
Step 3. While-reading
1. Watch and answer
教师出示问题:What animals can you see in the story? 然后播放故事视频,学生带着问题进行观看,之后回答问题。
设计意图:整体感知故事内容,帮助学生初步了解故事。简单问题入手,帮助学生获得信心。
2. Read and answer
(1)教师出示问题:a. What happened to tadpoles? b. What are they going to do?
学生阅读故事,之后尝试回答问题,了解故事发生的原因。之后教师带领学生一起帮助小蝌蚪找妈妈。
(2)出示小侦探以及问题:What does their mother look like? 学生阅读故事,提取关键信息并填空。帮助小蝌蚪汇总妈妈的信息。
设计意图:读前设问,帮助学生更好地提取关键信息,理解故事内容。
3. Listen and circle
教师出示小侦探以及问题:What can their mother do? 学生听录音之后圈出正确的图片。
设计意图:锻炼学生听取关键信息的能力。
4. Let’s choose
学生根据汇总的信息,思考后选择出蝌蚪的妈妈。
设计意图:检测学生对故事内容的理解程度。
5. Look and answer
出示小蝌蚪转变的过程图,教师引导学生观察图片并尝试用英文形容小蝌蚪是如何一点点发生变化的。
设计意图: 锻炼学生从图中提取关键信息的能力同时锻炼学生的口语表达能力,了解蝌蚪到青蛙的成长历程,突破本课重点。
Step 4. Post-reading
1. Listen and repeat
学生跟读录音,模仿语音语调。
设计意图:在理解故事的基础上,跟读模仿录音,完善发音。
2. Let’s act
教师呈现对话练习,学生进行角色扮演的同时可以增加肢体语言。
设计意图: 锻炼学生的综合语言运用能力以及合作能力。
3. Fill in the blanks and retell
出示挖空的句子,教师故事学生尝试根据故事内容进行填空,之后对故事进行复述。
设计意图: 检测学生对故事的理解程度,同时锻炼学生的逻辑思维能力以及复述故事的能力。
4. Think and write
教师出示问题:If the rabbit can’t find her mother. How to help her?
学生思考后,将内容补充完整。
设计意图:帮助学生进行知识迁移,思考了解更多动物的外形特征。

教师呈现思维导图,学生根据挖空进行练习,记忆本单元所学。
设计意图:通过思维导图的形式,帮助学生复习总结本单元所学。
