第1课时
一、教学目标
1. 学生能够在语境中理解生词carrot, tomato的意思，注意到tomatoes和carrots的复数形式，并能正确发音。
2. 学生能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意。
3. 学生能够用正确的语音、语调朗读对话，并能进行角色表演。
4. 学生能够在情景中运用句型Are these …? Yes, they are. What are these? They are … 询问物品名称并回答，能够在情境中运用They are so big! 描述物品的特点。
5. 学生在课堂交流中，注意倾听，积极思考，主动参与。
6. 学生能够运用礼貌用语寻求他人的帮助。
二、教学重点
能够在情景中运用句型Are these …? Yes, they are. What are these? They are … 询问物品名称并回答，能够在情境中运用They are so big! 描述物品的特点。
教学难点
学生能够在情景中恰当运用功能句并能够在语境中理解新词的意思，并能够正确发音。
四、教学准备
1. 教学课件。
2. 西红柿、葡萄等实物，复数的水果蔬菜卡片。
3. 课堂检测题。
五、教学过程
Step 1. Warm-up
1. Look and review
Brain storm：展示水果的图片，用动画演示的方式，复习单词的单复数。
设计意图：头脑风暴帮助学生复习与本课相关的已有知识。
2. Lead-in
T: There are some vegetables and fruits. They come from MacDonald’s farm. Look, this is Mr. MacDonald.
（教师呈现Mr. MacDonald的照片）He is a farmer. He has a big farm. (板书farm，并领读)
设计意图：用图片导入介绍Let’s talk对话的背景及主要人物。
Step 2. Presentation
1. Read and choose
Let’s talk的讲解
T: Today we will go to his farm with Mike and Sarah. What can you see at the farm?
(呈现一片白萝卜地，一片胡萝卜地，一些黄色的西红柿，一些红色的西红柿，让学生根据Let’s talk的对话内容，选出正确的图片)
2. Ask and answer
（1）教师讲解carrot和其复数形式carrots。
T: What is this?
Ss: It’s a carrot.
(教师板书单词后，再拿出几根胡萝卜并继续提问)
T: What are these? (教师板书句子)
Ss: They are carrots.
(用手中的实物进行问答，注意先问复数，熟练了再用单复数混合着提问。)
（2）教师讲解tomato和其复数形式tomatoes
T: (拿出两个西红柿并提问) Are these tomatoes?
Ss: Yes, they are.
(学生回答后，教师拿走一个西红柿，板书并读出tomato。)
板书carrot及其复数形式carrots，然后再板书tomato及其复数形式tomatoes，让学生跟读。
设计意图：呈现实物图片，通过个数的变化让学生体验问答句的变化，重点练习句型。
3. Listen and follow
教师播放Let’s talk录音，学生跟读。
设计意图：用录音播放跟读，引导学生关注目标语言。
4. Language point
教师讲解确认事物的句型：Are these/those...?和询问事物的名称的句型：What are these/those?
设计意图：通过句型讲解，帮助学生归纳总结，掌握句型的使用。
Step 3. Practice
1. Act it out
学生三人一组，分角色表演Let’s talk 的对话。
设计意图：学生分角色朗读课文对话，引导学生逐步内化目标语言。
2. Play a game: Guessing Game
T: Did you go to the farm before? Do you know the plants or the flowers of them? Let’s play a guessing game.
(教师呈现西红柿的成长过程，先是小秧苗，再长，再开花，结出小果实，绿色的最后是成熟的。让学生用Are these …? 句型提问。)
（其它组的游戏图片见课件，包括西瓜、西红柿、桔子、苹果和葡萄的成长过程）
设计意图：游戏激发学生的语言学习兴趣，练习重点句型。
3. Let’s play
教师呈现Let’s play的图片，引导学生两人一组练习，应用重点语言进行交流。
设计意图：同伴互问互答，个别展示，引导学生逐步内化目标语言。
4. Look and say
出示一些农场里常见的蔬菜或水果的图片，让学生两人一组用句型：Are these …? Try some. 等进行对话练习。每个小组合作三分钟左右，然后进行展示。
设计意图：让学生编新的对话，是语言综合运用能力的练习活动。
5. Make dialogue
出示一张长满了许多蔬菜和水果的农场图片，仿照和使用Let’s talk和Let’s play对话中的单词和句型，学生两人一组编新对话，进行对话练习。
6. Look and circle
完成课堂检测。读句子，圈出正确的图片。
设计意图：学生在听力材料中再次接触目标语言，并通过学生的回答检测对目标语言的理解。
Step 4. Homework
1. 用正确的语音、语调朗读对话。
2. 和小组同学试着表演对话的内容。
