2. 能够运用句型How tall are you? 询问他人的身高。
3. 能够正确运用形容词的比较级。

重点：

2. 句型：
How tall are you?
主语+ be动词+ 形容词的比较级 + than + 人称代词.
难点：
能够在真实的情境中熟练运用形容词的比较级。

教师请学生两人一组，互相询问身高，并回答。
T: Hello, boys and girls. Before we start our new lesson, let’s talk about your height. Please ask your partner and answer it.
设计意图：身高是学生感兴趣的话题。通过对子活动互问身高，活跃课堂气氛，激活学生的知识储备。

设计意图：让学生仿照范例进行对话，练习用形容词比较级对比人物高矮及年纪，巩固上一课时所学知识。

【Presentation】
Look, listen and learn
T: Now let’s start to learn some new words of the comparative degrees of adjectives. The first one is younger.
1. 教师出示younger 的单词图片，然后带读，学生跟读。
2. 教师出示older 的单词图片，然后带读，学生跟读。
3. 教师出示taller 的单词图片，然后带读，学生跟读。
4. 教师出示长短不同的两支铅笔，学习单词longer和shorter，教师带读，学生跟读。
5. 教师出示高矮不同的两支铅笔，学习单词taller和shorter，教师带读，学生跟读。
6. 呈现本课所学形容词的比较级，让学生观察单词，找到它们共同的特点（在词尾直接加er）。
7. 教师播放资源【知识解析】形容词比较级变化规则，让学生进一步掌握知识。
设计意图：利用图文相结合的方式，讲授本课重点单词，帮助学生牢记。同时引导学生注意互为反义词的形容词的比较级，扩展知识储备。

呈现单词，全班一起读、分组读、个人读。
T: Now let’s read the words together and then in groups, at last individually.
设计意图：通过不同方式的朗读，帮助学生再次练习巩固单词的发音。
Look, say and spell
课件快速闪现5个词组，让学生说出看到的词组，并拼写。
T: Now let’s play a game. You should say the English words and spell it.
设计意图：通过游戏的方式，提高学生的学习兴趣，进一步巩固本课时所学词汇。
Listen, follow and practice
播放Let’s learn 部分的录音，让学生听音跟读， 然后请学生两人一组看课本进行对话练习。
T: Now you’ve got to listen and follow. Pay much attention to the pronunciation. Then practice it in pairs.
设计意图：引导学生通过看、听、说、练等途径来巩固本课时的重点词汇。
Do a survey and report
教师请学生看课本Do a survey and report部分的内容，然后将学生分成四人一组，每个同学在小组内采访其他三名同学，完成表格，并做报道。
T: Now let’s do exercises. Please turn to page 5, Do a survey and report.
设计意图：小组内互问互答，可以锻炼学生的口语表达能力。同时引导学生学会倾听，听取更多的有效信息。

呈现图片和句子，让学生判断图片与句子是否相符。
