【Warm-up】
Look and say
逐一呈现本单元学过的词汇，让学生说出看到的词汇，并说出比较级形式。
T: Before we start our new lesson, let’s play a game. You should say the English words and the past tense of them.
设计意图：通过看说活动，活跃课堂气氛，复习本单元所学的形容词的比较级。

Pair work
教师让学生两人一组，做对话练习。如：
T: Well done! Now please make a dialogue with your partner.
A: What size are your shoes?
B: Size ....
A: Oh, your feet are bigger / smaller than me. How heavy are you?
B: I’m … kilograms.
A: Oh, you’re heavier than me.
设计意图：通过创设情境，锻炼学生的口语表达能力，并引导学生学会倾听，听取更多有效的信息。

Look, listen and learn
T: Now let’s start to learn some new words of the comparative degrees of adjectives. The first one is thinner.
1. 教师出示thinner 的单词图片，然后带读，学生跟读。
2. 教师出示stronger 的单词图片，然后带读，学生跟读。
3. 教师出示大小不同的两个苹果，学习单词smaller和bigger，教师带读，学生跟读。
4. 教师出示两个箱子及重量，讲解单词heavier，教师带读，学生跟读。提醒学生注意以单词y为结尾的形容词比较级的变化规则。
5. 呈现本课所学形容词的比较级，让学生观察单词，总结规律。
6. 教师播放资源【知识解析】The comparative degree of adierctives（形容词比较级的变化规则）微课，让学生进一步掌握知识。
设计意图：利用图文相结合的方式，讲授本课重点单词及形容词比较级变化规则，帮助学生牢记。同时引导学生注意互为反义词的形容词的比较级，扩展知识储备。

呈现单词，全班一起读、分组读、个人读。

课件快速闪现5个词组，让学生说出看到的词组，并拼写。

设计意图：通过游戏的方式，提高学生的学习兴趣，进一步巩固本课时所学词汇。
Listen, follow and practice
播放Let’s learn 部分的录音，让学生听音跟读， 然后请学生两人一组看课本进行对话练习。
T: Now you’ve got to listen and follow. Pay much attention to the pronunciation. Then practice it in pairs.
设计意图：引导学生通过看、听、说、练等途径来巩固本课时的重点词汇。
Watch, match and say
教师请学生看课本Match and say部分的内容，然后播放动画，将孩子们钓的鱼展示出来。教师给学生句型提示，让学生两人一组进行对话练习。

设计意图：通过学生感兴趣的钓鱼游戏，激发学生的学习兴趣，进一步巩固本课时所学词汇。
