在英语中，There be结构是一种常见的表示“存在”的句型。本期我们主要来学习There be结构的一般现在时。请仔细观察下列各句的结构，然后补全结论部分所缺的内容。

1. There is an English book on the desk.

3. There is some milk in the glass.
4. There is a pen and some pencils in his pencil box.

【结论】
通过观察上面的例子我们可以看出：
1. There be结构表示“某地或某时有某人或某物”，there在句中无实际意义。其中be (is / are)的形式与其后的名词(作主语)在数上要保持一致。如果be (is / are)后面是单数可数名词或不可数名词，要用______；如果be (is / are)后面是可数名词的复数形式，要用______。当be(is / are)后面有两个或者两个以上名词并列时，be(is / are)的形式通常与其后的第一个名词在数上保持一致。
2. There be结构的否定形式是在be(is / are)后加______。
3. There be结构的一般疑问句是把be (is / are)提到there前，其肯定答语为：Yes, there is / are.；否定答语为：No, there isn’t / aren’t.。
