Good afternoon, everyone. I’m Wang Yaqiong . I’m very happy to stand here and share my ideas with you. Now I’ll say Unit 8 topic 1 Section A What’s the weather like in summer?. I’ll prepare to say this lesson from six parts.

(1)Status and function
This unit is the last unit in grade 7.It contains three topics .The three topics are talking about weather ,summer holidays,festival.The topic 1 and topic 2 are the key points ,it contains the important Grammar and function of topic.Today ,I’ll say this course is talking about the seasons , weather and activities.It will be helpful to make the Students learn the rest of this unit. It’s mainly training students' spoken and Listening ability.For my students, I integrated part of the content.
(2)Materials processing
1a and 1b are the presentation of seasons, weather and activities.
1c and 2a are the integration of old and new knowledge.
2b is the practice and application of language.
3a and 3b is the pronunciation of the word .
For my students, Section A offers a lot of content and activities that can't be completed, and the two lectures are too loose.So I integrated part of the content.

Teaching key and difficult points
1.Key points:
Talk about seasons, weather and activities。
Difficulty:
In two ways of asking about the weather, students often confuse what and how.
Because of the student's incomprehension of the word,Sentence patterns:It’s a good time/season to do sth.and It’s a good time/season for doing sth, students also make mistakes easily.
Analysis of the students
The target Ss are from Grade 7.
Strong points:
1.They are enthusiastic, creative ,active and lively.
2.they have grasped some abilities in reading and speaking;
3.they have learned some words and information related to week , date, month ,season.
Shortcomings:
1.Their oral ability is poor.
2.They lack the ability to think independently, self-exploration and co-operate.

Listen a song and Free talk .
Talk to students about today's week, date, and weather.Then, by asking cultural questions, "Why do English people like to talk about weather?" Import the new lesson.
Purpose:review learned knowledge and active class atmosphere and Make students have a relax mood.
2.Presentation
1.use pictures of spring,summer, fall and winter to learn key words?:season, spring, summer,fall,winter ,weather, warm, hot, cool, cold and other new words climb, rain,
snow。Let’s chant ,dance and guess to remember the words?.
2.The key points of this course are presented by the way of "learning and self-exploration".
Purpose:To present new words and activities by pictures is much easier for the Students to learn . Chant and dance are to active class atmosphere and learn new words .By the way of "learning and self-exploration" is to train their ability of thinking independently.
3.Consolidate

The task-based activities,let’s play a game:The class is divided into two groups,choose one of your favorite cards and Use the language you learned in this lesson to guess the others favorite season, then describe the weather and activities.Let’s see which group can be the winner.
Purpose:“Task-based” teaching method is used here to develop the Ss’ ability of communication and co-operation .to practice their spoken ability and proper competition can arouse the student's interest.
Pair work :Draw a picture of seasons, and describe the seasons according to your picture and then write it down and make a performance.
