1．一般情况下，在动词末尾直接加－ing。

3．以单个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节动词，先双写末尾的辅音字母，再加－ing。
如：sit－sitting
get－getting
stop－stopping
4．以ie结尾的动词，变ie为y，再加－ing。
如：die－dying
