We’re going to read about two students who visit a film studio and amusement park in Hollywood .
Before we do, let’s review what we already know about movie making or film production by answering the questions for Exercise A on p. 54.Pre-reading 8’Read “Students see stars in Hollywood” ONCE and learn the vocabulary;

B. An amusement park and a film studio.

Lights, Camera, Action!
The film director ordered the camera operator to move the camera to the right. The lighting operator complained that the make-up artist needed to use brighter make-up. The movie star asked a crew member for some water. The sound operator said he could not hear the movie star and shouted for someone check the sound equipment. The director told the spectators to be quiet. The wardrobe mistress whispered to the extras not to be nervous! The script girl mentioned that she had copies of the script on hand. Post-reading （Discussion 6’）Inference Questions
Compare and contrast Dinosaur Jungle and the Great Wave attractions. What do they have in common? How are they different?
You have to ride through them in a car. The setting was realistic—Dinosaur Jungle was hot and humid and smelt like a real jungle. The wave made a “terrific noise” and seemed to crash into the car, which shook as if hit. Both have special effects. DP seems to have more sound effects while GW has more physical effects. —dinosaurs roar and chase the car. The wave makes a crashing noise, and the care shakes violently. THANKS感谢收看
