I. Teaching aims:
1. To lead the students to learn the new words and sentences.
1) To learn and practice the new words:
dinosaur million huge
2) To learn and practice the sentences:
Some dinosaurs ran very fast.
Some only walked slowly.
Some could fly.
Some ate grass and plants.
Some ate meat.
2. To improve the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
3. To make the students know that we should love our hometown, we should protect nature.
II. The main and difficult part of this lesson:
To make the students be able to talk about something with the words and sentences.

Step1. Revision
1. To sing English songs: Let’s sing together.
2. To ask and answer with the students.

Step2: Presentation
1) To show a film for the students. Then ask and answer with the students according to the film. Then teach them the new words:
Example: T: What are these?
S: They are dinosaurs.
T: When did they live?
S: They lived millions of years ago.
T: What are they like?
S: They are huge animals.
To lead the students to read and practice the new words.
2) To ask the students to discuss the dinosaurs, then lead them to practice the sentences.
Example: ①T: Could it run fast?
S: Yes, it could.
②T: Did it eat meat?
S: Yes, it did.
3) To lead the students to listen to the tape and then answer the questions given.
What did they do last Friday?
What did they learn?
When did dinosaurs live?
What did they eat?
Can you find dinosaurs today?
Then ask the students to read and practice the passage.
Step3: Practice
1. To ask the students to read and practice the passage, then show out some pictures of dinosaurs, to ask the students to introduce the dinosaurs.
2. To show out some verbs and their Past Form in this lesson. To lead the students to read and practice the words. Then ask the students to say out the Past Form of the verbs.
3. To ask the students to fill in the blanks according to the passage.
Step4: To revise the knowledge learned in this class.
