教学设计Unit10 I'd like some noodles
Section A: Role-play the conversation
一、整体设计思想
根据新的英语课程标准的要求:义务教育阶段的英语课程具有工具性和人文性双重性质。英语教学是为了提高学生综合运用语言的能力。因此在本课的教学中,我始终坚持以教师为主导,学生为主体。通过各种活动和任务,激发学生学习的积极性。同时将课堂与生活实际相结合,创设真实情境,鼓励学生勇于参与,善于表现,不断增强其自信心与合作能力。
二、教材分析
本单元以“食物”为话题,在这一单元里,学生们用英语询问他人喜欢的食物以及谈论自己喜欢吃的食物。本单元贴近学生日常生活,比较容易激起学生的学习兴趣。在Section A中主要运用What would you like?来询问他人喜欢的食物名称。在此部分中,学生们将通过What kinds of noodles would you like? I'd like…noodles. What size would you like? 等句型来进一步询问他人喜欢吃的食物的种类和分量等。
三、学生分析
在上学期学生已经学会了可数名词,不可数的用法,并掌握了一定的蔬菜和肉类的词汇,为本单元的学习奠定了良好的基础。学生们对英语的学习有积极的兴趣,善于参与课堂中的活动。
四、教学目标
根据课标,制定出如下的教学目标。
(一)语言知识目标
1、能够识记并运用下列词汇、短语
词汇、短语:
noodles, mutton, beef, cabbage, potato, bowl, size, large, would like, take one's order
2、能够识记并运用下列句型:
May I take your order?
Yes, please.
What kind of noodles would you like?
I'd like beef noodles, please.
What size would you like?
I'd like a large bowl, please.
(二)语言技能目标
1、学会描述食物。
2、会以“食物”为话题的角色表演,充分展示自我。
(三)情感目标
让学生在交流中学会热情好客,礼貌待客,培养乐于助人的良好品质。
五、教学重、难点
重点:
1、食物的名称
2、would like句型.
难点:
学会在饭店如何点餐。
六、教学步骤
Step1 Warm-up
1. Greetings:the teacher greets the students as usual.
2. Show some pictures of food drawn by students.
Ask them:Are you a foodie? What would you like?
Students:I'd like...
Purpose:Warm up the atmosphere by greetings and arouse students' interests by showing some food pictures.
Step2 Revision
1. Show different kinds of noodles on the screen. Ask students to describe these noodles.
T:What kinds of noodles would you like?
Ss:I'd like beef and tomato noodles.
2. Show some pictures of our classmates.
T:What kind of noodles does Geng like?
Ss:He'd like beef and egg noodles.
3. Look at the different size bowls of noodles. Then play a guessing game about the size our classmates would like to eat.
T:What size would Guo like?
S:He'd like a large bowl.
Purpose:This step aims to review the learned structures. The pictures of our classmates can make the students join the class more positively.
And they can how to use the target language by describing and guessing.
Step3 Lead-in
Show the picture on page56. Let students look at it carefully and then answer these following questions:
1、Who is the woman?
2、Who is the girl?
3、Who is the boy?
4、What are they doing?
Purpose:This step aims to lead the students to observe the book carefully and get some information from it. Students can also predict the contents and make clear about the relationship among the people in this conversation
Step4 Presentation
1、Role-play the conversation. Listen to the tape for the first time.
Pay attention to the blanks. Then complete the sentences after listening.
2、Read the conversation carefully. And then answer the following questions.
What would Sally and Tom want to eat?
How many bowls of soup would they like?
What size of soup would they like?
Purpose:This step aims to let students pay attention to the key points by listening and better understand the conversation by reading.
And these questions can help them do the better.
Step5 Practice
Challenging game:Can you recite the whole conversation?
1、Play the tape twice and let the students read with it using small voice.
2、Read the conversation with few blanks.
3、Read the conversation with more brackets.
4、Try to recite the whole conversation.
Purpose:This step is to train students' memories. There are four tasks.
The latter task is more difficult than the former one. Students become more and more interested, excited and confident after finishing one task.
And these can make them master the whole meaning of the conversation which are helpful to the further step learning.
Step6 Consolidation
Group work:Role-play
Four students are a group. Choose one waiter or waitress. Others are customers. And the teacher give positive feedback.
Purpose:This step is to further consolidate the knowledge and let the students experience the real situation. And in the process, students learn to cooperate with group members.
Step7 Homework
1、Try to order some food in a restaurant in English.
2、Cook some delicious food for your parents.
