一、Teaching aims and demands:
Knowledge aims:
1. Ss can know the different means of transport.
2. Ss can retell the story of Story time and Cartoon time.
3. Ss can use the prepositions (in, on, by, near, from) correctly.
4. Ss can know the differences between “far from” and “near”.
Skill aims:
1. Ss can talk about their friends’ and relatives’ living places and means of transport.
2. Ss can improve their skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Emotion aims:
1. Ss know that we should choose the green way to go out, such as on foot, by bus and by bike.
2. Ss can know that when we go traveling, we should follow the traffic rules.

五、Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warm up
1. Enjoy a rhyme: (选自《听读空间》Unit 2阅读欣赏)
The bus goes to the next bus stop.
The car goes to the department store.
The train goes to the station.
The fire engine goes to the fire.
The police car goes to the accident.
The ambulance goes to the hospital.
The truck goes to deliver some boxes.
The plane goes to faraway places.
I go to many places.
设计意图:课前通过一首和本课相关联的小诗活跃气氛,同时拓展一些地点和交通工具的词汇,为之后的学习做准备。
2. T introduces herself. Ss and T greet to each other.
3. T: Just like the last sentence of the rhyme, I go to many places by different means of transport.

设计意图:语音板块的小诗节奏感强,学生很感兴趣,因为不是新课,所以通过填空的方式稍微加大难度,而且填空的正是语音/tr/的单词。
5. Try a new rhyme.
Traffic, traffic, on the street,
Beep, beep, beep beep!
Trucks, trucks, near the city,
______-______, ______-______!
设计意图:truck这个单词不仅是交通方式,而且和语音/tr/相对应。这里通过对拟声词的填空,发散学生思维,活跃课堂气氛。
6. Try a tongue twister.
A hundred truck drivers drive trucks in the countryside.
设计意图:绕口令的设计一也是为了活跃课堂气氛,而是区分第一单元的语音/dr/。
7. T: Besides truck and train, do you know others?
Review: bus, metro, plane, ship, train, taxi
文化拓展:In the UK, people call the metro underground.
In the US, people call the metro subway.
设计意图:渗透文化拓展,补充课外知识。
8. Teach new words: high-speed rail, electric bike
设计意图:选择高铁和电动车这两个比较常见的交通方式,补充课外单词,拓展学生词汇量。

1. T: All of you come to school by different means of transport. How about Su Hai and Su Yang?

2. T: Su Hai and Su Yang come to school by bus, why? Yang Ling comes to school on foot, why?
设计意图:通过两个why的问题,通过地图上距离不同的直观展示,帮助学生区别far from和near。
3. Retell story time.

设计意图:介词的使用也是本单元的重难点之一,所以在复习课上通过这个小练习加以巩固,并进行学法指导,圈出关键词。

结合地图展开适当想象。
Tips: Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to ride bikes in China.
设计意图:及时进行文化教育,让学生知道未满12周岁是不可以骑自行车上学的。
6. Show three new people: Miss Zhang, her aunt and uncle

设计意图:通过猜测三个新人物去中山公园的不同方式,发散学生思维。
