一、教学内容: Song time& Checkout time &Cartoon time
二、教学目标：
1. 通过情景交流，能熟练运用现在进行时来描述正在发生的动作。
2. 能唱歌曲Polly, put the kettle on。
3. 掌握单词、词组garden, grow grapes, big and sweet, pests, ladybirds, go away。
4.理解短文大意，大致了解昆虫的知识。
5.能有感情地朗读、表演故事，语音语调正确、自然, 能续编故事。

T:Today we’ll go on learning Unit 5 Helping our parents
First, let’s review story time. 出示图片It’s Saturday morning, what are the Browns doing?
T: 出示图片Look! It’s 3 o’clock in the afternoon, what are they doing? Can you say a short passage about it?

3.Checkout time( Listen and number)
T: Good! Now, it’s 8 o’clock in the evening, what are they doing now? Let’s listen and number.
T: It’s time to check our answer, you will listen again, when you hear the right answer, please say “Bingo”, and I will stop. Go!

Actually, I am a good helper too. Because I can help my parents do some housework. Look , what am I doing now ? Can you guess?

T: I’m sweeping the floor and listening to a song, the song is Polly, put the kettle on!
You know what kettle is?
T: look, this is a kettle. Now, let’s enjoy the song, after listening, you should answer two questions: Why does Polly put the kettle on？Why does Susie take it off?(播放视频)
S: Because’ we’ll all have tea.’ (我们都要喝茶。)
S: Because ‘they’ve all gone away.’(go away 离开)
T：Yes. Now, stand up and sing with me.
Cartoon time
(1)T: Where do they go? Can you guess?
Ss: Maybe they go to a park./a cinema./a supermarket/…

T: Whose garden?
T: Yes, it’s Bobby’s garden, it’s big and beautiful. What can you see in the garden?
S：I can see some mushrooms/trees/grasses/grapes.
T: We can see some grapes. Bobby _____ ______(教 grow grapes) in the garden.
What color are the grapes? How are they?
S: They are sweet(教sweet).
T: Listen, (放录音) Bobby is very ____ (happy), Can you be a happy Bobby?
T: Good boys and girls. If you can read it better, the grapes will grow up. Can you believe it? Try !
T: Wow, magic! What big grapes! Watch carefully, what’s on the grapes?
T: There are some pests (教pests)on the grapes.
Is Bobby happy now？
(2) Pair work
T: He is unhappy. What does he say to the pests? Discuss with your partner.(学生一人波比，一人害虫，表演)
T: So Bobby says:” What are you doing here?”(双手叉腰，不高兴)。 But the pests are happy, ”We’re eating your grapes, they are so sweet!”
T: Now , I am Bobby, you are the pests, let’s act.
(3) Watch and answer
T:Great! Bobby wants the pests to go away. Do the pests go away?

T:The pests go away, who drives them away?
S: Ladybirds.
T:Look, some ladybirds(教) come, “We can help you!” Bobby is very happy. But, look at him now, he is ____(angry). Why?
S: Because the ladybirds are eating his grapes too.
