第一课时

教学内容
A Let's Listen and Say B Let's Learn
教学目标
1.能听懂、会说、认读“a piece of meat, cross, eat, happily, its, wood, drop, lose, better”等新单词。
2. 能掌握并运用句型“A is/are more…than B”对两事物进行比较。
3.能听懂、理解本课的寓言故事。
4.通过本课的寓言故事,使学生明白做人不要过于贪心的道理。
教学重难点
1.重点:掌握并运用句型“A is /are more…than B”,理解、阅读本课故事。
2.难点:复述本课故事。
教学准备
单词卡片,录音带,课件,教学挂图等。
教学过程
一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1.师生相互问候。
2.Sing a song:The More We Get Together.
二、新课呈现(Presentation)
(一)学习B部分Let's Learn
1.Talk about the students in the classroom. Point to a boy and say:“He is tall.”Point to another boy and say:“He is taller.”“A is taller than B.”然后学生指名谈论教室里的人或物。如:Li Yun is shorter than Liu Hong.
2.课件创设情景,出示一下小男孩图片:
T:Look at this picture.Do you know who he is?
S:Is your brother/classmate/friend…?
T:Yes, he is my friend.We lived in a small village near a river. There was a bridge across the river. This is a wood bridge. We walked to school on foot. My math was better than his, but his Chinese was better than mine. I like reading stories. Some stories are more interesting.
教师边说边板书课题:Unit 2 Some stories are more interesting,教读课题。
3.学生齐读课题后,教师引导学生理解课题的含义。
4.T:His father was a friendly butcher. One day, he cut a piece of meat and gave it to a poor dog. The dog was happy. But after a while, its meat dropped into the river. Do you know why?
教师随机出示图片,教学单词,“a piece of meat”,“drop”,利用图片帮助学生理解单词的含义。
5.听课文B部分录音,学生跟读单词。
6.引导学生猜测原因,培养学生的发散性思维能力,同时为本课的寓言故事埋下伏笔。
(二)学习A部分Let's Listen and Say
1.学生快速阅读课文A部分故事,回答问题.
T:Peter likes reading.He sometimes reads stories to his friends.Now,Let's enjoy his story,read it as quickly as try to answer the questions:(板书下面问题:)
Who gave the dog a piece of meat?(A man in the shop.)
What did it see in the river?(Another dog.)
Did the dog lose its meat in the end?(Yes,he did.)
2.教师引导学生回答问题。
3.听课文A部分录音,模仿正确的语音、语调,从中掌握新词难句的正确读法。
4.操练句型:“A is /are more…than B”。
(1)教师让学生反复朗读句子:“That piece of meat is better than mine”,并说出它的含义。
(2)教师引出并板书句型:“A is /are more…than B”(A比B更…)。教师引导学生学会比较两事物的不同。如:
This book is more expensive than that one.
My dress is more beautiful than yours.
5.将学生分成几个大组,由教师开头朗读故事的第一句,然后每一组依次读一句,直至读完整个故事,读得最流利、没错误的一组获胜。
三、巩固延伸(consolidation and extension)
1.教师利用课件中的图片复述故事内容,再让学生分组练习复述。(注意提醒动词过去式的用法与读法)
2.分组展示汇报复述情况。
出示关键词进行提示:meat shop,a piece of meat,took,walked home happily,on a piece of wood,cross,saw,another dog,in its mouth,better,opened,dropped into,lost.
3.对学生的表现进行评价,给予肯定与鼓励,评选复述故事优胜小组。
4.课文延伸:教师运用本课的寓言故事,让学生明白做人不要过于贪心的道理。
四、作业布置(Homework)
1.练习把A部分的故事讲给家人听。
2.朗读并背诵课文,抄写单词。

1.能听懂、会说、认读“science book,space story,fairy tale”。
2.能掌握并运用句型“A is/are more…than B”对两事物进行比较。
3.会用“like doing more than doing”表达喜欢做某事更多一点儿。
教学重难点
熟练运用句型“A is/are more…than B”对两事物进行比较;
能理解Part D部分内容。
教学准备
单词卡片,录音带,课件,教学挂图等。
教学过程
一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1.师生互相问候。
2.Sing a song:The More We Get Together.
3.Recite the new words and retell the story.
二、新课呈现(Presentation)
(一)学习C部分Let's Practise
1.师生交谈:Do you like reading stories?What else do you like?Which do you like more,…or…?
2.教师用课件出示图片,利用图片帮助学生谈论活动。“I like …more than…”或者“He/ She likes…more than…”(注意:主语不同,like形式的变化以及like后面用动词的ing形式。)
3.听课文C部分录音,学生跟读句型。
4.Act out Part C
5.两人一组自由交谈,可采用问答式:What do you like? Which do you like more? 一生问,一生答。
(二)学习D部分Let's Read
1.课件出示不同类型书的图片,问:What kinds of book do you like?
2.教读新单词:science book,space story,fairy tale。
3.学生快速阅读课文D部分故事,回答问题。
T:Peter and Anne like reading. They like different kinds of stories. Now,let's enjoy the story,read it as quickly as try to answer the questions:(板书下面问题:)
What kinds of stories do they like?
4.教师引导学生回答问题。
5.听课文D部分录音,模仿正确的语音、语调,从中掌握新词难句的正确读法。理解“Reading is good for us”等句子意思。
6.操练句型:“A is /are more …than B”,如:Fairy tales are more interesting than science books.
7.学生反复读课文,然后讨论完成课文D部分的练习。最后师生一起核对答案。
三、拓展延伸(Consolidation and extension)
1.通过CAI图片先师生复述Part D部分内容,再让学生分组在组内练习。
2.出示关键词:fairy tales,magic stories,books on science,learn,are like,more…than,should read more books.以组为单位汇报复述情况。
3.对学生的复述,给予肯定与鼓励,引导学生自评与互评,评选优胜同学与优胜小组。
四、作业布置(Homework)
1.练习朗读D部分短文。
2.朗读并背诵课文,抄写单词。

1.巩固词组 science book,space story,fairy tale,能运用“What books/kind of books do you like?”询问他人对某类书的爱好,并能正确作答。
2.能运用“A is more …than B”谈论F部分Let's Have Fun 中的图片。
3.能运用E部分问题提示和写作模块描述个人爱好。
4.培养热爱阅读的情感,养成良好的阅读习惯。
教学重难点
1.重点:能询问他人对书的爱好,并能将个人喜好进行比较。
2.难点:能运用E部分问题提示和写作模块描写个人爱好。

单词卡片,录音带,课件,教学挂图等。
教学过程
一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1.Greetings.
2.Greeting game.
课件出示单词或词组:science books,fairy tales,storybooks,interesting,longer等,并用笑脸盖上图片,让学生猜测。
二、新课呈现(Presentation)
(一)学习E部分Let's Write
1.课件出示E部分四位小朋友的表达。
2.自由朗读四句话。
3.向同桌介绍四位小朋友的喜好,如:Peter likes science books.
Anne/Lingling…likes…(注意:主语是第三人称单数,like要变成likes)
4.单独出示Peter的图片,问:What kind of books does Peter like?指名学生回答,并正确书写在书上。同样方法学习2、3、4三个问题。
5.同桌互问互答,巩固对句型的掌握。
(二)学习F部分Let's Have Fun
1.用写有比较级生词的卡片,让几名学生随机抽取并读出来,结合生活中的人或物,用所抽单词造句。这一环节旨在让学生体会玩中学,学中玩,提高英语学习的兴趣,为学生口头作文打下基础。
2.出示F部分挂图。
T:Dino is going to the lake. Here are three ways.Help him to find a safe way.
3.学生仔细观察图画,教师提问:Which is more dangerous/interesting, …or…?
4.学生分别口头表达。
5.学生独立地在课本上作答。
6.集体展示作业,指导学生把句子写完整、正确。
三、作业布置(Homework)
写一篇小短文,介绍自己或朋友的活动爱好。
