1．重点：能用“Our Earth looks like this in space.”描述某物看起来像什么。
2．难点：(1)动词过去式变化的规则，尤其是部分单词的不规则变化。(2)用已有的科学知识讨论和描述太空和地球的特征。

单词卡片，录音带，课件，教学挂图等。

一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1．师生问候。
2．唱已学英语歌曲。
二、新课呈现(Presentation)
(一)学习B部分Let's Learn
1．情境创设：参观科技馆。
(1)教师出示郊游的图片，一起回忆以前郊游去过的地方，激发学生的好奇心，去猜测这次郊游的地方。
T：What season is it?
Ss：It's spring.
T：What's the weather like?
Ss：It's warm and nice.
T：Yes, A nice day! Our school outing is coming. Where do you want to go?
Ss：I want to the park/zoo/Space Museum …
T：Now. I will bring you to the Space Museum.
(2)出示图片同时板书并教读单词Space Museum.
(3)开火车认读单词。
2．Learn new words.
(1)教师出示太阳、月亮和星星的图片，学习单词，并引导学生猜测这次郊游要去哪儿。
T：Let's walk into the Space Museum.
Ss：The sun. The moon.
T：What are those?
Ss：They're stars.
T：Look at the stars！They are beautiful！What do they look like?
Ss：The stars look like a lion.
板书：look like.
(2)出示地球的图片。
T：What's this？ Ss：It's the Earth.
跟读单词Earth，谈谈你看到的地球是什么样子？
It's a ball.It's a blue，green and white ball.
(3)出示陆地和海洋的图片。
T：The blue place is the river on the Earth，and the green place is the land.跟读land 和 river。
3．小组内互教互读。
4．Game：将图片背对着同学们贴，指名猜猜是什么？猜对率高的小组获胜。
(二)学习A部分Let's Listen and Say
1．Read and underline the sentences.打开课本，快速阅读A部分课文，找出不明白的句子，互助互学。
2．出示问题：
(1)What did Peter do last Sunday?
(2)What did he do on the next day?
(3)What's the Earth like?
3．听录音，跟读思考以上问题，与同桌交流。
4．师生交流，梳理课文，弄清三个问题。
5．跟读矫正语音语调。
三、语言操练(Practise)Retell the story
1．教师提供Peter 两天的活动情况表格，带领学生一起回忆课文内容。然后让学生根据表格中的关键词和三幅插图，四人一组复述课文。
2．教师对学生的复述做出评价，给予肯定与鼓励，培养学生对语篇的概括与复述能力。
四、作业布置(Homework)
1．听录音，跟读课文，背诵课文。
2．搜集有关太空的知识或图片，准备做解说员。

教学目标
1．能听懂、会说、会写新单词“the Earth，land and river，Space Museum，the sun，stars the moon”等。
2．复习有关季节的单词“spring，summer，autumn，winter”。
3．复习国家名称“China，Australia，England，USA”等；学习新的国家名称“New Zealand，Germany”。
4．能用“Our Earth looks like this is space.”和“The Earth is like a ball.”描述某物质看起来像什么。
5．进一步了解地球，培养热爱地球的情感。
教学重难点
1．重点：能熟练运用句型描述地球，阅读和理解短文。
2．难点：能借助图片阅读和理解D部分的短文。通过短文了解昼夜和四季形成的原因，以及哪些国家与中国是同一季节等知识。
教学准备
单词卡片，录音带，课件，教学挂图等。
教学过程
一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1．Greetings。
2．Revision.出示上节课所学的单词和图片，学生抢答。
3．Game：小小解说员。
利用课后所搜集的有关太空的知识或图片，进行介绍，教师做出评价并进行适当的补充。
二、新课呈现(Presentation)
(一)学习C部分内容Let's Practise
1．教师拿出一个地球仪。
T：What's this?
Ss：It's the Earth.
T：What does it look like?
Ss：It looks like a ball.
T：Yes，it is like a ball.
教师板书It's like，并介绍“某物看上去像什么”有两种表达方式：A is like B 或A looks like B.
2．教师继续带领大家观察地球仪。
T：The Earth looks like a blue ball from space.It looks beautiful.
教师让学生在地球仪上分别指出山水和陆地。
T：The Earth looks beautiful from space.It has water and land.So many animals and plants can live on it.The Earth is our mother.
3.听音跟读 Listen and repeat.
(二)学习D部分Let's Read
1．问题导读，整体感知。
这是一篇科普性质的阅读短文，学生在理解上稍有难度。教师可采取问题导读的方式，首先提出三个问题，让学生带着问题进行快速阅读。
Question1：Why can animals and plants live on the Earth?
Question2：Why does the Earth have day and night?
Question3：What are the four seasons? How do we have the four seasons?
2．合作阅读，一起扫除生词。
教师采取小组合作阅读的方式，在语篇中寻找生词与难句。
T：Open your books and read Part D with your partners. Four students are in one group, please. Then find out the words or sentences you don't understand. Discuss about them in your group.
小组讨论之后，各组派代表将生词或句子写在黑板上。
3．教师讲解黑板上的生词及句子，帮助学生理解短文中的词汇，扫除阅读障碍。
4．再次阅读，共同解决问题。
鼓励学生讨论，回答前面三个问题。每个问题渗透了科普内容，需要在理解并结合科学知识的基础上讨论完成。
5．核对答案。
教师评价学生的讨论结果后，可以做适当的知识补充。
第一个问题：动物和植物为什么可以在地球上生存？
T: It's the sun.The sun keeps them warm.It's warm, so animals and plants can live on it.
第二个问题：地球上为什么会有昼夜交替？
T：The half that faces the sun has day，The half that doesn't face the sun has night.
第三个问题：一年中的四季是怎样形成的呢？
T：The Earth takes one year to go round the sun.
6．解决文后练习。
位于北半球的国家有英国、美国、德国、加拿大、中国等。位于南半球的国家有澳大利亚、新西兰等。中国位于北半球，因此，跟中国同一季节的国家是England，USA，Germany，Canada. 并板书新词New Zealand，Germany.
7．Read the text aloud together.
三、语言操练(Practise)
1．跟读D部分课文。
2．练习在小组内复述D部分内容。
3．分小组展示对D部分的复述情况，评选复述条理清晰，语音规范，声音响亮的同学给予鼓励。
四、作业布置(Homework)
1．背记单词。 2．做练习册。

2．难点：正确使用动词的过去式，尤其是部分不规则的动词过去式；能灵活运用所学词汇知识谈论科学知识。

1．Fill in the blanks with the correct answers.

2．Look and say.
教师展示多张图片，请学生尝试用学过的单词和句型来描述从太空中看到的地球。
The Earth is beautiful.There is land, rivers and mountains on the Earth. There are many plants on the Earth. There are many animals on the Earth, too.They need light and water.
(二)学习F部分Let's Have Fun
1．Game：Let's have fun.
教师出示一张白纸，然后随手撕成一个形状。
T：What does it look like?
鼓励学生展开想象的翅膀，说出不同的答案。
T：It's very funny，isn't it? Do you want to have a try?
然后请学生四人一组，按照示范进行创意手撕纸比赛，并用“look like…”或者“is like…”描述形状。教师可以挑选出一些好的撕纸作品，贴在黑板上，向全班提问：“What does it look like？”鼓励学生发表不同的看法。
2．Game: Can you get to the moon?
(1)分发迷宫图给每位学生，用自己喜欢的彩笔在迷宫中尝试找一找通往月球的路。
(2)找到的同学快速将迷宫图贴在黑板上。
(3)交流走迷宫的方法。
三、作业布置(Homework)
1．向同学介绍地球。
2．记单词，熟读课文。
3．做练习册。
