Analysis of this lesson This lesson is about Wang Mei and Jenny’s chatting on computer. They are talking about their school life and subjects. It is close to the students’ life so it can stimulate students’ interest in learning. Developing the good habit of loving study and life.
Analysis of students Students are in the second term of Grade 7. The new words are abstract for them, so I should make up some sentences with these new words. I will ask them to master the new words in real life situation. Considering students’ different abilities, some students ask some questions, others answer these questions and sum up. The Ss’ ability of listening and speaking is poor. So the students should encourage them to speak more and practice listening.

Step1 ?Lead-in Good morning, class! How are you today? Today we will start a new unit. Who will tell me the title of Unit3?In this unit, we will learn to talk about all the things we do and learn at school. Read the title and know the main information It will lead in the new knowledge.
Step2   Words and phrases 1. Show some pictures to present the new words and new phrases.Make sure the students should understand the meaning of the words. Learn the new words and phrases by pictures Words and phrases are the basis of a language.
2. Give the students five minutes to remember the words. And then the teacher picks out one of them. Remember the words and phrases for 5 minutes.Then spell and read them one by one.
Step 3 Listening Play the tape for Lesson 13. Play it once and ask the students just to listen.Play the tape a second time and ask the students to complete the Exercise. Check the answers as a class. Listen to the tape. Complete the Exercise To train the skill of listening.
Step 3 Reading a.)Let them read the text quickly, and answer the questions:1. How many classes does Wang Mei have every day?2. What is Wang Mei’s favourite subject?3. What is Jenny’s favourite subject? The students read the text by themselves. Find out the answers Develop the students’ ability to catch the main information in reading
b.) English intensive reading(for specific information)1. What does Wang Mei think of her school days?2. How often does Wang Mei’s have a sports meet?3. What sport does Wang Mei take part in at the school sports meet?4. Did anyone help Jenny make the bird house? To understand the text in groups. If you have some problems, you can ask the teacher for help. English intensive reading .It is helping for the students to understand the text deeply. And it can also improve their oral skill.
Step 4Role-play (1) Instruct the students to role-play the lesson in pairs.(2) Select some pairs to present their role-play in front of the class. Practice and show We all know Students are the main part of the class. So give them the chance to show themselves!
Step 5Exercising Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words and phrases. Check the answers 1. I ____ singing. I want to be a singer in the future. 2. I start school at 8:00. and ______at 5:00 p.m.3. I often______ the long jump at the sports meet.4. A: What _____ do you have? B: I have Chinese, English, Math and some others.5.
