一、教学内容分析
本单元基本上都围绕着“传奇式的童话故事”这一话题展开语言技能和语言知识都是依据这一中心话题而设计的。此话题非常贴近学生生活实际,学生会非常感兴趣。在第一课时里,主要通过“愚公移山”这个故事展开学习。因此在教学过程中,教师应当充分调动学生的积极性,鼓励他们大胆开口,运用英语表达与此话题有关的内容,以此来对学生进行情感态度的培养,并引导学生积极地用英语讲出自己所知道的童话故事。
二、学情分析
大多数学生来自农村,学习英语的起点低,底子薄,并在初一阶段的英语基础也很薄弱。部分学生甚至失去了学习英语的热情和信心;还有部分学生想学好英语,并且非常努力,只是由于多种因素成绩并不理想;只有少数学生还对英语感兴趣,并且大胆开口表现。因此,在教学中,我通过“愚公移山”这个传奇故事的英语教学,鼓励学生积极参与课堂活动,敢于开口说英语,让学生体验到成功的喜悦,增强学习的信心。
三、教学目标:
1、Knowledge aims:
1).让学生掌握以下词汇和短语:
Shoot, remind, once upon a time, as soon as, so…that, weak, unless, god, stone, dig
Keep doing sth., continue to do sth., remind sb, of sth., try to do sth.,
2).使学生能自主使用以下表达法:
The story reminds us that you can never know what’s possible unless you try to make it happen.
Once upon a time, there was/were…
As soon as the man finished talking, Yu Gong said that his family could continue to move the mountains after he died.
2、Ability aims:
1). The students can get the general ideas of the story by listening.
2).To improve the students’ listening and speaking abilities.
3). To train the students’ ability of retelling the story.
3、Emotional aims:
You can never know what’s possible unless you try to make it happen.
Teaching important points:
How to retell a story and how to use the conjunctions.
四、Teaching importance:

七、Teaching steps:
Step 1 :Greeting
T: Good morning. Boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning. Miss Zeng.
T: Do you like listening to stories? Especially Chinese stories?
Ss: Yes.
T: OK. Let’s look at some pictures about our traditional Chinese stories.
Step 2:Warming up
1、Listen to a song, then guess which story it is about?
2、Show some pictures of the Chinese story like“嫦娥奔月,神笔马良,盘古开天辟地”etc. Ask the students to talk something about the pictures.
3、Show the four pictures in 1a. And match the story titles with the pictures[1-4].
Step3: Presentation & talk
1、T: Let’s listen to a song and tell me what it is about.
(Play the song about “Yu Gong moves a mountain”)
Ss: It’s about …
2、present the new words:
T: Today we are going to study the story about“Yu Gong moves a mountain”in English. And learn to tell the story in English. First of tall, please pronounce the new words by yourselves.(Ss first, then the teacher check their pronunciations at last)
Step 4: Listening 1
1、Watch a video, and find out which story Anna and Wang Ming are talking about?
(They are talking about “Yu Gong moves a mountain”.)
2、Get the students to look and listen again,then check (√)the facts they hear.(1b)
Step 5: Pair- work
Talk about the story “Yu Gong moves a mountain” with your partner.
Step 6: Listening 2
1、 Get the students to listen and number the pictures.(2a)
2、 Listen again and circle the words.(2b)
3、 Listen again and fill in the blanks.

Step 7: Retell the story
Get students to retell the story of Yu Gong according to the information in 2b.
Step8: Show time
Ask the Ss to retell the story of Yu Gong Moves the Mountains according to the pictures.
