Cartoon time & Checkout time
Step 1 Song time:
T: Now let’s enjoy the song: Are you sleeping ladybird?
T: Boys and girls, Today we’ll continue learning Unit6 In the kitchen. Checkout time and Cartoon time.
Step 2 Checkout time:
1. T: Look at the picture, Where is the ladybird now?
It’s in the kitchen. It’s on the kitchen.
We can put a lot of things into the fridge. Such as fruit, food, drinks and vegetables. Now can you give us an example about them
T: Who can try? Ss: apple.....
T: Yes, we can put different kinds of things into the fridge.
2. Boys and girls, pay attention to these words: they are uncountable nouns. We can use the word” some” to modify them, but the be verb must use “ is”. Do you understand? Ss: Yes.
T: Now let’s play a game: Help the words find the home.
T: water ... Ss: answer one by one
T: Here’s a tip for you. Read it together. One two start.
T: Do you understand? Ss: Yes.
3. Guess time:
T:Now can you guess what’s in this fridge? You can guess like this: Is/Are there any...in the fridge?( 板书贴上去）I will ask a line of students to guess. Other students give them answers.
T:Are you clear? Ss: Yes.
T: What’s in the fridge?
S1: Is there any fruit..?
Ss: Yes, there is. ( 每组请两位学生回答）。
S1: Are there any apples...?
Ss: No, there aren’t.

T: So, what’s in the fridge?

Step 3 Cartoon time
1. T: Look at the picture, what’s in Bobby’s garden?
Ss: There are a lot of pests and ladybirds in Bobby’s garden.
T: Look at Bobby, how does Bobby feel now?
Ss: He is very sad.
T: Why is he so sad? Can you retell the story in Unit 5?
S1: There are a lot of pests in Bobby’s garden.
S2:Some ladybirds come to help him.
S3:The pests go away, but the ladybirds do not.
S4: They eat Bobby’s grapes too.
T: So, there are a lot of...now. Bobby is very sad. Great.
