本单元学习旅行准备的相关对话。旅行是学生们喜欢的话题,通过讨论旅行的地点、所做的事以及是否去过国外旅行,从而引入教材活动1的练习,然后由听力入手,进入活动2的学习。通过听读对话、找and,but, or连接的并列复合句,引入对语法的简单学习。最后,根据活动2的内容要求学生两人一组编对话。

【注意】英语中一些表示成双成对物品的名词通常以复数形式出现,常见的有sunglasses(太阳镜), trousers(裤子), jeans (牛仔裤), gloves (手套)和scissors (剪刀)等。这些名词可以单独作主语,谓语动词用复数形式。在表示“一(二、三……)副/条”时,用a/two/three pair(s) of…,作主语时谓语动词的单复数形式取决于pair的形式。

4. Your bag mustn’t weigh too much. You’d better ask the travel company about the total weight for all your bags. 你的包不能太重。你最好问问旅行社你所有行李的总重量。
(1) weigh动词,意为“重量有……;重……;称……的重量”。
Linda is 1.67 m tall and weighs 46 kilos. 琳达身高1.67米,体重46公斤。

【拓展】weigh的名词形式是weight,意为“重量”。
lose weight意为“减肥”。

(2) had better意为“最好”,后接动词原形。had better do sth.意为“最好
